BOLD SHOUT caught the eye when an unlucky-in-running fourth at Southwell on his first all-weather run and is taken to build on it and make a winning start on polytrack. Course scorer Red Hat Eagle is feared most on the back of a good Thirsk third, while Strong Voice and Majestic Wave need considering too.

Timeform Comments

Zero Carbon (FR)
A 4-time C&D winner but it's now twelve runs since his last win in 2024. Thirteenth of 14 in handicap over C&D in May so has work to do now.
Red Hat Eagle
Fourteen runs since last win in 2024 but in good nick, not enjoying a smooth passage when third of 12 in handicap at Thirsk (7f, good, 7/2) 25 days ago. This course winner can make his presence felt.
Flash Rascal
Signed off with 6f win at Haydock for Dr Richard Newland & Jamie Insole in April. Well held all 3 runs for new yard, eighth of 10 in handicap at Wolverhampton (6f) 21 days ago, eased down. Cheekpieces go on for first time.
Santiago Boy
Twice runner-up in handicaps here (latest over C&D) in August but below par both runs since, seventh of 10 in handicap at Wolverhampton (6f) 21 days ago. Bounce back is needed.
Rey De La Batalla
Dual winner over 1m here. Yet to hit top form this season, off 6 months before a fading tenth of 14 in handicap over C&D 30 days ago. Can take a step forward now.
Phoenix Of Dreams (IRE)
Won 7f Newcastle handicap in March. Off 5 months but posted a good second of 9 in handicap at Southwell (7f) 15 days ago. Much respected on his polytrack debut.
Bold Shout (IRE)
Got off the mark in 6f novice at Salisbury in August. Caught the eye on his all-weather debut when fourth of 9 in 7f handicap at Southwell 15 days ago, finishing well having been hampered over 1f out. Makes polytrack debut. Big shout at these weights.
Angels' Share
Has a very good all-weather record and gained a third 7f Lingfield win in September. Sent off evens, she was just a fair fourth of 9 in 7f handicap there last time. Considered.
Strong Voice (IRE)
Still a maiden but runner-up for the third time this season in 8-runner handicap at Lingfield (7f, all-weather) 27 days ago, clear of rest. Must enter calculations.
Loquella (IRE)
Made a winning debut at Newcastle (6f) last November. However, she hasn't built on it this year, seventh of 10 in handicap here (1m) 25 days ago. Others more persuasive.
Yachtsman
Got off the mark at Windsor (6f) in May but rather in and out since, only eighth of 11 in handicap at Leicester (6f, good) 31 days ago. Cheekpieces go on for first time now.
Majestic Wave
Ended a long losing sequence in 10-runner handicap at Lingfield (7f, all-weather) last month, holding on gamely. Up 3 lb but should remain competitive.
San Juanito
Successful twice at Wolverhampton last spring for Simon & Ed Crisford. However, he ended his time with that yard on a low-key note and it's been a similar story in 5 starts for new connections this summer. Hooded for first time.
Manhattan Chute (IRE)
Unreliable sort but he gained a second success of 2026 at Leicester in July. Went with little fluency though when ninth of 12 in handicap at Windsor (6f, good to firm) last time.
