Timeform View

BIRDIE OR BUST wasn’t at her best back over hurdles when last seen but should be suited by the drop in trip and looks worth siding with for last year’s winning yard, currently in a rich vein of form. Cappa Hill belatedly matched the pick of his hurdles form at Listowel last time and rates the main danger if building on that, while Jasko des Dames is also respected in an open handicap.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Birdie Or Bust traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts: Typical Thomas has traded at 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Jasko Des Dames (FR)
Fast approaching 2 years without a win but has run some fine races in defeat in the meantime, including when ½-length second of 8 to Rexem at Kilbeggan in August. Wears first-time cheekpieces and ought to give his running but looks summed up by a mark in the 130s.
Birdie Or Bust (IRE)
Bordering on useful chaser who won twice last season. Turned in best effort this season when third to Gaelic Arc in handicap at Punchestown in June. Found less than looked likely back over hurdles the following month, but returns with yard in good form and is high on the shortlist here.
Crowsatedappletart (IRE)
Likeable sort who won 3 times over fences last year and added another at Wexford in May. Has run twice over hurdles of late, fifth of 20 in handicap hurdle at Galway (17f, good to soft) in September. May do better now back chasing.
Drumgill (IRE)
Fourteen runs since last win in 2025. Been kept busy this summer, going closest in minor event over hurdles at Kilbeggan when beaten 2 lengths into third in August. Carried no win threat in better races since, though, and again looks up against it.
Cappa Hill (IRE)
Fairly useful winning hurdler who took a step forward over fences when a 9½-length third of 12 behind Net Boy in a Listowel handicap last month. Claims if building on that back at a track where he has won over hurdles.
Mic Drop (IRE)
Gained a first chase success in handicap at Limerick (2¼m) in May and followed up at Wexford (2m) the following month. Has continued in good heart since, running up to best on return from 11-week break when 1¾ lengths second of 7 to Miners Bridge at Sligo 11 days ago.
Typical Thomas (IRE)
Winning hurdler/chaser who has been lightly raced and has made only very little impact since 2023/24, running a typical race when folding tamely at Kilbeggan last time.
Piccolo Player (IRE)
Fair winning hurdler who has made a solid start over fences, placing in both a novice and a maiden in the summer. Didn't build on that sent handicapping at Downpatrick last time, though, and needs to bounce back now. Races from 2 lb out of the handicap.
