Timeform View

AR AIS ARIS made an encouraging start to his career in what is usually quite an informative bumper here in the spring and should have excellent claims if building on that promise now sent hurdling over a longer trip. Eastern Fire is another serious contender with the step up in distance in his favour, while Petersham Place merits respect having joined a top stable after winning his sole outing in Irish points.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Eastern Fire traded at a high of 8.40 and Betfair SP of 8.80 when winning last time, a race in which it raced prominently.

Timeform Comments

Ar Ais Aris (IRE)
£60,000 Walk In The Park gelding. Runner-up sole start in Irish points (Nov 2025) and showed promise switched to Rules when fourth of 11 in a 2m course bumper in April. One to note now going hurdling.
Bondi Road (IRE)
€5,000 3-y-o, Capri gelding. Dam multiple point winner. Unpromising in points.
Eastern Fire (IRE)
Poet's Word gelding who built on debut promise when winning 4-runner bumper at Fakenham (2m, soft) in January. Longer trip bound to suit now sent hurdling and has obvious claims.
Fearless Dragon
Showed a bit on first 2 starts over hurdles at Sedgefield but reverted to being held back by his attitude when pulled up there when last seen in April.
Jet Noir (IRE)
Third on his sole outing in Irish points but just minor promise under Rules last spring and will be of more interest in handicaps after this run.
Le Coup D'envoi (FR)
Maiden who has shown fair form over hurdles and fairly useful form over fences in France, including when third of 12 in a 17f handicap at Auteuil (heavy) in May. Tongue tie retained on debut for new yard after leaving Mme I. Pacault and the market should help guide.
Petersham Place (IRE)
Casamento gelding. Half-brother to 5 winners, including fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser Killer Miller and fair hurdler/fairly useful chaser No Hubs No Hoobs. Won 3-runner Irish point on sole outing in that sphere and has since joined a top stable.
Secret Soldier (IRE)
Offered something to work on when mid-field in a Cork bumper for Gordon Elliott in July 2024, but has been well held in a pair of 2m course novice hurdles for new yard.
