THIS THAT has taken his form up a notch the last twice, pulling clear with the odds-on favourite when getting off the mark at Navan, and he could do better still as he goes handicapping. He is preferred ahead of fellow nursery debutant Yellow Sky, while Two Brigade had excuses on his latest outing and rounds off the shortlist.

Timeform Comments

This That
Stayed on well to win 6-runner claiming maiden at Navan (1m) in August, form franked by the runner-up scoring next time. Makes plenty of appeal making nursery debut with the potential for a strong pace to suit.
Just One Show (IRE)
Went close in a Fairyhouse maiden (6f) on debut in June but hasn't built on that promise, tried in cheekpieces (had been gelded) when mid-field in valuable series final at Naas (7f) 5 days ago. Has something to find on first nursery start.
Our Boy Bailey (IRE)
Showed plenty to work on first time up when second in maiden at Roscommon (7.5f) in May. Unsuited by the drop back to 6f in the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot but well below form in 3 starts since, including on nursery debut last time. Cheekpieces added for all-weather debut.
Lake Lugano (IRE)
Ran green on his first 2 outings, before faring better fitted with blinkers when third of 12 in maiden at Killarney (1m) 11 days ago. Didn't look the most straightforward last time, but he's in excellent hands as he heads into nursery company.
Cyclone Code (IRE)
On the back of a gelding operation, showed more than on first 2 starts when third in maiden at Navan (5f) early last month. However, was well-beaten fourth of 6 on nursery debut at Cork (6f, soft) 17 days ago. Others more persuasive now tried on all-weather.
Hip Hop Chrissy (IRE)
Has reached a fair level in 4 maidens to date, making the frame on first 3 outings before seeming stretched by 7f at the first attempt when seventh of 8 at Down Royal 18 days ago. This should reveal more switched to a nursery for last year's winning trainer.
Lusted
Finished closer with each of her first 4 starts, 2 lengths sixth of 15 in maiden at Cork (1m) in August. Was racing on soft ground for the first time when well held at Gowran last month and handicaps could see her in a better light.
Heart Of You (IRE)
Fair form in a couple of starts for Jessica Harrington, before left poorly placed on stable debut when seventh of 12 in maiden (1m) at Killarney 11 days ago. Remains with potential now handicapping with tongue tie tried last time discarded.
Yellow Sky (IRE)
Shaped encouragingly in 7f maiden at the Curragh on debut, the race won by a next-time-out Group 2 scorer. Possible excuses at the Galway Festival and got back on track when fifth of 13 at the Curragh 19 days ago. Interesting on nursery bow with cheekpieces added.
Gabby Hayes (IRE)
Not much impact in his qualifying runs, before placed for the first time when third of 10 in nursery at the Curragh (7f) 19 days ago. Has eased 2 lb in the weights but will still need to find improvement on all-weather debut.
Violet Be Humble (IRE)
Fair form when making the frame at Bellewstown (1m) on first of 3 outings in turf maidens, but tried in cheekpieces/tongue strap (now both discarded) she ran poorly in nursery at the same course 15 days ago.
Closefield Beau (IRE)
No better than mid-division in 3 maidens, but looked to have been handed a stiff-looking opening mark when plugging on for fourth in 10-runner nursery at the Curragh 19 days ago. Not tried on all-weather with good-value claimer on board.
Matavai Bay (IRE)
Offered a bit more on third start when fifth of 12 in a Roscommon maiden in August. Possibly unsuited by heavy ground when well held in nursery at the Curragh 19 days ago, but will need to take a step forward now onto the all-weather.
Two Brigade (IRE)
Much improved upped to 1m from sprint trips when second in 13-runner nursery at Naas (1m) last month. Possibly unsuited by testing conditions when well held at the Curragh (7f) 19 days ago, so he's worth another chance.
Green Sparkle (IRE)
Looked in need of the experience on debut but hasn't gone on from that effort, well held on nursery bow at Bellewstown (1m) 15 days ago. Has work to do switched to all-weather. RESERVE.
