Timeform View

BOSTON MAX had to settle for a share of the spoils at Chepstow last time but still looks the most solid option as he bids for the hat-trick here. Amerilis represents an in-form yard and showed up well for some way here on handicap debut, so is also shortlisted, with Cisterna taken to complete the 1-2-3.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

There is a chance of a pace burnout early, and Amerilis and Kilmac Air are two who could suffer: A strong early pace seems highly likely. Gosford Queen and Enthusiastically could be suited by being ridden further from the pace.

Timeform Comments

Gonna Be Golden (IRE)
Clearly learnt plenty from debut and showed much improved form to get off the mark in 12-runner maiden (9/2) at Dundalk (7f) in December. Well held on handicap debut at the Curragh last month though before saddle slipped at Fairyhouse last week.
Caitouna (IRE)
Fair form in 3 maidens at 1m, most recently when fifth of 14 on turf debut at Leopardstown (soft) 49 days ago. Not obviously bred to benefit from the drop to a sprint trip on handicap debut.
Wild Berries (IRE)
Fair form in maidens/novices up to 7f last season but was below that level switched to a nursery when ninth of 16 at Naas (1m, soft) when last seen in September. Back down in trip after 8 months off.
Coincidental Glory (IRE)
Dundalk nursery winner in December who returned to action with a good second in a Gowran claimer (1m) in April. Too keen on his next 2 outings and was out of his depth in a stronger race here 11 days ago, but still needs to get back on track.
Whistling Jamesie
Left previous form behind when making a successful nursery debut at Dundalk (6f) in October. Hasn't beaten a rival in 2 starts so far this season, though, so plenty to prove now sporting blinkers.
Dawn Flame
Looked as if he'd stay middle distances and showed improved form to get off the mark in Dundalk handicap (1m) in January but has proven too keen when well beaten there both starts since. Not certain to appreciate the drop to a sprint trip despite keen-going tendencies.
Meriden
Shaped better than the result sent handicapping when sixth of 13 at Ballinrobe (9.6f) last month and confirmed that promise dropped to 7f when getting off the mark in a 14-runner event at Down Royal 5 days ago. Respected under a penalty.
Aurora Mist (IRE)
Inns of Court filly who ended her 2-y-o campaign with a good fourth at Galway in October. Stepped up on her return when getting off the mark in cosy fashion in a 14-runner handicap at Gowran (1m, good to soft) 4 weeks ago and she's considered back down in trip.
Amerilis
No better than mid-field in 2 maidens last summer for P. Twomey but showed promise on her first start for current connections when fourth of 12 in a 6f maiden here. Showed up well for a long way when ninth of 20 on handicap debut at this course (6f, good) 30 days ago and she may do better again.
Cisterna (IRE)
Form levelled off as a 2-y-o but back on track when third at Gowran in April and produced an improved effort when comfortably winning a 14-runner handicap at Roscommon (7.5f, good, 7/1) 23 days ago. Merits consideration.
Apothic Red (IRE)
No better than mid-field in 3 maidens but shaped with some promise switched to handicapping when a respectable sixth of 21 at this course (6f, heavy) 45 days ago. Likely not yet reached his ceiling but suspicion is that he'll prove better at 7f.
Kilmac Air (IRE)
Only modest form despite making the frame on 2 of his 3 starts in maidens, not knocked about when third of 12 at Cork (7f, soft) 15 days ago, Interesting handicap debutante in first-time cheekpieces.
Polanco (IRE)
No impact in 3 maidens around 7f for J. P. Flavin last season. Pulled hard when twelfth of 16 on handicap debut (50/1) at Naas (5f, good) 25 days ago. Plenty to find on form.
Boston Max (IRE)
No impact in maidens last season but much improved in first-time tongue strap to make a winning handicap debut after 8 months off at Dundalk (5f) in April. Didn't need to progress to emerge with a share of the spoils in a 5-runner event at Chepstow (5f) 2 weeks ago and he should be bang there.
Enthusiastically (IRE)
Switch to the all-weather worked the oracle when winning 7f nursery here in November for Donnacha O'Brien, aided by first-time blinkers and hood. Ran creditably on debut for new yard when fourth there (1m) in March and holds frame claims back down in trip.
Dubai Opulence (IRE)
Looked to have been brought along gradually last year and again ran to a decidedly poor level when fifteenth of 16 in maiden (28/1) at this course (6f, heavy) 80 days ago. Will need to find significant improvement on handicap debut.
Gosford Queen
Bought along steadily in maidens last year, ninth of 12 at Dundalk (7f) when last seen in December. Type to do better now handicapping, though has 173-day absence to overcome.
Pocket Jacks (IRE)
Thrice-raced filly. Sixth of 13 in maiden (28/1) at Navan (5f, good to soft) 18 days ago. Back up in trip. May do better now handicapping.
Whats It All About (IRE)
No show in a trio of maidens at 2 yrs. Might've needed the run when eighth of 10 in handicap at Dundalk (5f, 22/1) 63 days ago. Plenty to prove back up in trip.
Schoolyard Days (IRE)
Fared no betrer with cheekpieces on for 1st time when fifth of 10 in maiden claimer at Roscommon (7.4f, good to soft) 16 days ago. Difficult ask.
Windsor Lily (IRE)
Not much impact in maidens and ran poorly when tenth of 12 on handicap debut at Gowran (7f, soft) 42 days ago.
