Timeform View

Cases can be made for a few of these, but GALLUS NORMAN seems to be making up for lost time judged on his impressive Musselburgh success a fortnight ago. A 6 lb rise may not be enough to prevent him from following up at the expense of Sure And Stedfast, who showed the benefit of a recent pipe-opener when third here recently. The in-form Clansman can fill out third.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Gallus Norman traded at a high of 2.44 and Betfair SP of 3.19 when winning last time, a race in which it led.

Timeform Comments

Kisiyra (IRE)
Lost her way for Johnny Murtagh but after 8 months off there were better signs on stable debut when 1¾ lengths fourth of 6 in handicap at Thirsk last summer. However, she was well positioned in a modestly-run race that day and has been absent again since. First-time tongue tie applied.
Clansman
In good form since reappearing in January, following a couple of solid placed efforts with a deserved first success on the all-weather at Newcastle in March. Dug deep having looked in trouble to add to his tally at Southwell (16.5f) in April and every chance he'll feature again back on turf.
Sure And Stedfast (IRE)
Showed the benefit of a recent pipe-opener when third of 10 at this course (11f, good to firm) 18 days ago, running well despite being chief sufferer when the meat in the sandwich during persistent bumping mid-race. Mark unchanged and couple well be adding to his tally.
Jujubella (IRE)
Progressive in first half of last season, winning 4 times in all. Form did eventually level off and has been well behind both starts this season, though she's best not judged on her latest Ayr effort (not given at all a hard time having been left with a lot to do). Back up in trip.
Perseus Way (IRE)
C&D winner last September and added a third hurdles success to her tally at Hexham (2½m, soft) last month, taking over early in straight having travelled smoothly. Would be folly to dismiss back on the level.
Gallus Norman
Has returned a much-improved model this season, admittedly allowed an easy lead but looking better the further he went under hands and heels only when bolting up in 5-runner handicap at Musselburgh (2m, good) a fortnight ago. 6 lb rise may not be enough to prevent the follow up.
Glasses Up (USA)
Veteran who recorded a course hat-trick at Ayr last spring and stepped up on his reappearance when third in handicap there (9f) last month. Rarely sparkles away from Ayr these days and failed to do so again at Musselburgh last time. Back up in trip but others preferred.
Annandale (IRE)
Made a lot more impact down in 0-55 company when second of 10 at Wolverhampton (1¾m) in February, seeing the longer trip out well with a clearer run than the day before. Returns back on turf and shouldn't be far away if ready to roll.
