HASHTAG PRETENDER shaped with sufficient encouragement in his 2 chase starts last season to suggest he can make his mark now handicapping and is taken to come out on top. Park That and Stuntman Steve also look capable of better than they have shown in this sphere so far and rate the chief dangers.

Timeform Comments

Indiana Jones (FR)
On a long losing run but in good heart when last seen in April, finishing fifth in the Topham at Aintree and in a 20-runner handicap at Punchestown. Booking of O'Sullivan a plus but remains opposable for win purposes.
Birdie Or Bust (IRE)
Gave her all when runner-up in a Grade 3 novice here (2¼m) to end last season, but followed that with 2 miserable displays and has a fair to bit to prove now.
Hashtag Pretender (FR)
Useful hurdler who posted his better effort over fences when 8½ lengths second of 7 to Downmexicoway in maiden at Killarney last season. Type to do better still now tackling a handicap in this sphere. Has gone well fresh and has to be high on the shortlist.
War Correspondent (IRE)
Fairly useful winner at 2m over fences last season but hasn't repeated that form since, including back over hurdles. Cheekpieces replace blinkers but this temperamental sort remains one to oppose. Cheekpieces back on in place of blinkers.
Gaelic Arc (IRE)
Won at Kilbeggan last summer but poor efforts vastly outnumber good ones since then and suffered a heavy fall last time.
Park That (IRE)
Looked ahead of his mark when 2½ lengths second of 9 at Navan on his penultimate start but failed to back that up last time. Likely to be suited by the return to 2m and still has an air of untapped potential about him in this sphere.
Crescent Moon (FR)
Ran better than for a while when 10¼ lengths fifth of 10 in mares maiden at Killarney last time, caught further back than ideal. Overall chasing record much more miss than hit, though, and others more convincing.
Listentillitellyea (IRE)
Ran well in listed handicaps at Fairyhouse and Punchestown earlier last spring but was always behind on return from 10 months off last time.
Stuntman Steve (IRE)
Hasn't matched his fairly useful winning hurdles form in 6 starts over fences, though can have a line put through his effort at Tramore last month due to a tack issue. Good value conditional booked and remains potentially well treated on his hurdling form.
Be Fierce (IRE)
Three-time winner, including handicap hurdle at this course last season. Didn't see his race out back over fences at Tramore on return, though, and very much needs things to fall perfectly for him.
