SWITCH FROM DIESEL wasn’t scoring out of turn when getting off the mark over hurdles last month and looks to have been found a good opportunity to follow up. Magico is entitled to progress from his winning debut in this sphere and rates the chief threat ahead of Playtime.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Switch From Diesel traded at a high of 2.24 and Betfair SP of 2.12 when winning last time, a race in which it led.

Timeform Comments

Magico (IRE)
Did not need to replicate his useful Flat form to make a successful debut over hurdles in 15-runner maiden at Killarney last month, beating Tyson Fury by 4 lengths despite several novicey mistakes. Entitled to progress, especially if brushing up his jumping.
Playtime
Won 16-runner maiden at Leopardstown (2m) in March, quickening to lead approaching last. Back to form when 9¼ lengths third of 6 to Splashing Out at Tramore last time.
The First Turn (IRE)
Won a bumper at Thurles on debut but hasn't made much impact since, including over hurdles on last 2 starts.
Switch From Diesel (IRE)
Three-time bumper winner who belatedly got off the mark over hurdles when winning mares maiden at this course by 6 lengths last month. Very much the one to beat on these terms.
Saporetti (IRE)
Won 1 of his 5 starts on Flat in France and shaped better than the distance beaten suggests when 22¼ lengths fifth of 14 to Lynches Knock in juvenile maiden at Cork on hurdling debut, a series of mistakes eventually taking a toll. Entitled to progress.
