Timeform View

REVE INOUI shaped better than the result when fourth over a longer trip at Down Royal last time and is taken to build on that back at a more suitable trip. North Of Nashville won well last time and rates the chief danger, whilst Pourquoi Poi remains capable of better after just a single chase outing.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Seventy Eight Team traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts: Reve Inoui traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on 3 of its last 4 starts.

Timeform Comments

Sammy Smart
Took quite well to chasing last season, winning over an extended 19f at this course and finishing in frame on several other occasions. Was let down by his jumping when only mid-division in a veteran's event at Ballinrobe last time, though, and needs to bounce back to his very best to feature.
Bodhisattva (IRE)
Has now gone 22 runs without winning and continues to go through the motions, ninth of 13 in a cross-country chase here last time. Cheekpieces go back on.
Noble Talent (IRE)
One-time fair sort but badly out of sorts last season, including back over hurdles. Wears first-time blinkers.
Aclass (IRE)
Good second of 12 in 2¾m handicap chase at Tramore in April and shaped as if still in good form when 17¾ lengths fifth of 11 to Dinoland at same course last time.
Secrecies Of Stone (IRE)
Dual winner in 2024/25, including over fences at Leopardstown, but lightly raced and little impact since.
Justabitofyours (IRE)
Runner-up in 3-runner mares event at Limerick on second chase start last spring. However, that remains a standout effort and has failed to complete on her last 3 outings. Looks to be up against it.
Tiffiny's Girl (IRE)
Won mares maiden hunter at Cork in April and than backed that up when 4¼ lengths second of 8 to Muskerry Rock in novice hunter at Wexford last time. Needs to improve now stepping out of hunter chases tackling an open handicap.
North Of Nashville (IRE)
Doubled her career tally over fences when winning 11-runner 25f handicap at Wexford 21 days ago. An 8 lb rise for that performance doesn't look excessive and another bold bid looks likely.
Le Grand Vert (FR)
Added to chase tally when winning heavy-ground handicap at Ayr last season but hasn't shown much under less testing conditions since, including back over hurdles last time.
Pourquoi Poi (IRE)
Won 2½m handicap hurdle at this course last season, but didn't go with a great deal of encouragement when mid-field in a an extended 19f maiden at Downpatrick on chasing debut 15 days ago. Should stay this far but needs to take a significant step forward now switched to a handicap.
Hascoeur Clermont (FR)
Has largely struggled for form since 2024/25, but appeared to take a big step back in the right direction in first-time cheekpieces (retained) when 10¼ lengths fourth of 8 at Limerick last month, badly hampered 2 out. Potentially very well treated if able to build on that but he's far from reliable.
Il Silenzio
Improved in refitted cheekpieces when winning 16-runner handicap chase at Roscommon in August, making smooth headway to lead at the last. Not seen since but yard very capable of readying one after an absence and he's less exposed than most. One to note if attracting support.
A Year Older (IRE)
Won 17-runner handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse (3¼m) on New Year's Day and quickly made amends for a fall at Down Royal when landing a 12-runner handicap at Limerick (22.7f) in May. Very much had the run of the race that day, though, and this is more competitive.
Difficult Decision (IRE)
Veteran who was off over 2 years prior to reappearance and hasn't gone on since, including in this sphere last 2 starts.
Reve Inoui (IRE)
Point winner who took a step forward from chasing debut when 10¼ lengths fourth of 10 in 3¼m handicap chase at Down Royal in April, despite finding the test too much. Drop back in trip will suit and any further progress is likely to see him firmly in the mix.
Mistyburn (IRE)
Didn't take to chasing last season but bounced back to form when winning 16-runner handicap hurdle at Kilbeggan in April, albeit looking a fortunate winner when left in front last. Tongue tie back on and remains capable of better now tackling a handicap chase for the first time.
Seventy Eight Team (IRE)
Maiden pointer who has yet to get her head in front over hurdles or fences, her best effort in this sphere when second in a handicap at Wexford last season. Ran poorly over hurdles when last seen, however. Races from 5 lb out of the handicap.
