Timeform View

WORKING CLASS HERO improved on his opening effort under Rules when pushing a promising mare close here last month and gets the nod to make it third time lucky. Returning Officer understandably shaped as if needing the run after 15 months off at Kilbeggan recently and is better judged on his debut form for now, while Which Flannerys makes most appeal of the newcomers before market clues.

Timeform Comments

An Bhoireann (IRE)
Last of 7 finishers sole outing in points and showed only a bit more than first time up under Rules when fifth of 13 in bumper at this course (2m) 24 days ago. Tongue strap on for 1st time.
Dee Bee Zed (IRE)
Gleneagles gelding. Closely related to Impulsar and half-brother to a winner on Flat. Dam unraced. Yard has an uninspiring record in bumpers.
Ealu Tapa (IRE)
Getaway gelding. Dam (b76), ran twice in bumpers, sister to useful hurdler/very smart chaser (stayed 3m) Peregrine Run.
Farney Bridge (IRE)
Casomento gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to useful hurdler (stays 25f) Absolutely Doyen and prolific winning pointer/fairly useful 25f hunter chase winner Highway Jewel. Bred to stay well.
Go Loud (IRE)
€3,500 3-y-o, Gamut gelding. Dam, pulled up in point, half-sister to fairly useful 2m hurdle winner Jet Setting Jim. Unplaced completed starts in points (latest Apr 26).
Harbour Man (IRE)
Showed nothing on his Fairyhouse debut in November.
Hurricane Leaf (IRE)
Showed a bit on his Listowel debut in the autumn but couldn't even match that form at Sligo last month.
It's Buster's Way (IRE)
Doyen gelding. Dam, unraced, half-sister to smart hurdler/high-class chaser (stayed 23f) Kalashnikov.
Lauro James (IRE)
Lauro gelding. Dam (h82) maiden hurdler (stayed 2¾m). Pulled up both starts in points (latest May 10).
Returning Officer (FR)
€100,000 No Risk At All gelding. Brother to fairly useful hurdler/fair chase winner in France Shekidame. Showed plenty in a warm bumper at Navan on debut in February 2025 and understandably shaped as if needing the run at Kilbeggan 15 months later.
Sir Vinny (IRE)
Walk In The Park gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to useful winner up to 1m Home School. Market should offer up some clues to expectations.
Union Boy (IRE)
Workforce gelding. Dam fair 21f hurdle winner. Yard has enjoyed some bumper success and a market check is advised.
Woodie Wiley (IRE)
El Salvador gelding. Half-brother to fairly useful 2¼m chase winner Ingenious Stroke and modest 2½m chase winner Fit For Fifty. Pulled up both starts in points (latest May 17).
Working Class Hero (IRE)
€27,000 Workforce gelding. Half-brother to useful hurdler/chaser Knock House and dual bumper winner/fairly useful hurdler Slige Dala. Placed on first of 2 starts in points and improved on his Rules debut form when narrowly denied in 13-runner bumper here (2m) last month. Sets the standard.
Dieux Diligence (IRE)
Saddex gelding. Dam (h114), 2m hurdle winner, half-sister to French hurdler (17f winner) Yo Minfoutaie. 1 of 2 newcomers for the yard.
Iron Sword (FR)
For Fun gelding. Dam, lightly raced on Flat in France, half-sister to 19f hurdle winner in France I Am Sovereign. Market for clues.
Noble Trix (IRE)
Vadamos gelding who is a Half-brother to bumper winner/fair 19f hurdle winner Flying Trix but went with no promise on last month's debut at Down Royal.
Seamy Appletart (IRE)
Blue Bresil gelding. Dam (h105), lightly raced over hurdles, sister to fairly useful hurdle winner (stayed 21f) Atlantic Fairy.
Which Flannerys (IRE)
Order of St George gelding. Closely related to fairly useful 17f hurdle winner Custom of The Sea, and half-brother to fairly useful hurdler An Bradan Feasa. Dam unraced half-sister to smart hurdler/high-class chaser (stayed 23f) Kalashnikov. Interesting newcomer.
She's A Divil (IRE)
Vadamos filly. Dam unraced half-sister to useful hurdler/very smart chaser (stayed 2½m) Castlegrace Paddy.
