Timeform View

PRINCESS MAITHA shaped with plenty of promise when second in a Catterick maiden that has worked out very well and, with progress anticipated now debuting for a new yard, she makes plenty of appeal in her bid to go one place better. Drymee and Show Me Gold may provide chief resistance of the others, while it would come as no surprise to see Dovecote leave his only start as a 2-y-o behind (gelded ahead of return).

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Princess Maitha traded at a low of 1.60 and Betfair SP of 9.79 when losing last time, a race in which it raced prominently and travelled strongly early on.

Timeform Comments

Nothing But Love
1,000 gns 2-y-o, Land Force filly. Half-sister to useful 1¼m winner Approval. Likely outsider making racecourse debut in a hood.
Dovecote
Son of Time Test who makes plenty of appeal on paper but he showed only greenness when last of 13 in a Chelmsford maiden (7f) on debut in November. However, in top hands and gelded since last seen, so quite possible he'll prove a different proposition as a 3-y-o.
Mr Jeffrey
Big prices and well held in pair of all-weather/turf novices this spring.
Vicit Venture (FR)
Son of Lope Y Fernandez who showed more than on debut minus a hood when eighth of 12 in a Windsor novice (6f) 4 weeks ago. However, handicaps promise to be more his bag after this.
Don Pablo Colina
Lope Y Fernandez gelding who failed to match his debut form when sixth of 12 in a Kempton novice (7f) 10 days ago. Another who will hold more chance in handicaps.
Drymee
Showed promise when fourth of 11 in a Leicester novice (7f) on sole start for Joseph Parr last summer/ Changed hands for 11,000 gns/gelded, probably needed the run when down the field at Kempton 17 days ago and this promises to reveal more.
Ernie Mccrew (IRE)
Galileo Gold gelding who will be better suited to handicaps having finished no better than midfield in a pair of 7f all-weather novice events so far this year.
Turton
Ribchester gelding who offered a little more than he had on debut without threatening at Nottingham (1m) 6 days ago. However, he'll make little appeal this side of handicaps.
Arc At Her
Study Of Man filly who needs more time and distance judged on her exploits in a pair of maiden/novice events at around 1m during May.
Princess Maitha (IRE)
Makes appeal on paper and produced a very promising first effort (form worked out very well) when second in a Catterick maiden (7f) on debut in July. Switched yards ahead of return and she sets a clear standard on that form. Major claims.
Sayidah Aleen (IRE)
Changed hands for 15,500 gns following a low-key debut effort and hinted why cheekpieces had been applied when second in a 7f maiden (7f, good to soft) 18 days ago, hanging left 2f out. Holds each-way claims nevertheless in a race lacking depth.
Call Alert
Mohaather filly. Dam winner around 1½m. Pedigree suggests she may well come into her own over longer trips but worth a precautionary market check for clues on debut.
Show Me Gold
Havana Gold filly who made a bright start to her career on all-weather during the winter, again finding only one too good in a Kempton maiden (7f) in January. Fancied to be on the premises back from a break on turf debut.
