Timeform View

CONTINUANCE has some solid form in this grade and looks capable of bagging another winner for the in-form Martin Keighley stable, provided his exuberance is kept in check over the longer trip. Useful bumper performer Castle Ivers clearly hasn't been the easiest to train but is feared in his bid to make it 3 wins from 4 over hurdles, while Oakley still looks potentially well treated.

Timeform Comments

Castle Ivers (IRE)
Lightly raced since a promising bumper career but proved he retains all his ability when making it 2 wins from 3 over hurdles on second start back from an absence at Perth last time, and there could well be better to come now back on track.
Continuance
Chased home a useful pair at Sandown in January and still looked in good heart when fourth in a 2m Warwick handicap on return. Longer trip is a slight concern given his free-going nature, though this is unlikely to be a stiff test, and he may add another winner to his stable's recent haul.
Trust House (IRE)
Fairly useful middle-distance Flat performer who readily landed a double at Ffos Las before progressing again when chasing home a rejuvenated stablemate at Perth last time. High hopes that 2½m will prove within range, but he looks the stable second string on jockey bookings.
Speed Davis (FR)
Beat a progressive one when successful at Musselburgh last November and produced a career best to follow up at Bangor (23f) in mid-April. Going the right way but tougher task up in grade for his hat-trick bid.
Oakley (GER)
Had plenty in hand when making it 2 wins from 3 starts at Hereford under this good-value conditional and having only been beaten by a handicap blot at Fontwell last time, he should go well again.
Bertie B
Ended the 2024/25 season badly out of sorts, faring no better for the reapplication of cheekpieces at Chepstow when last seen, and has plenty to prove returning from over a year off.
Presenting Milan (IRE)
Bumper winner didn't need to improve on his hurdle debut second to get off the mark at Fontwell in May last year, however, that's still only fair form and he'll need to do more now sent handicapping.
Theatre Tom (IRE)
Half-brother to useful hurdler Theatre Man (2½m-21f) who made the frame both completed starts in Irish points and looked a handicap project in maiden hurdles last season. Step up in trip should benefit, though stable saddles 2 other better-fancied runners.
