Group 2 entry MET BALL ticks plenty of boxes on paper for a yard boasting an excellent record with its juveniles and she has to be of serious interest on debut before the benefit of market clues. Ashina is another interesting newcomer for a first-season stallion who has made a good start, while Rhodes Runner and Jazz Queen may emerge best of those with prior experience.

Timeform Comments

Ashina (IRE)
Foaled March 9. €60,000 foal, 200,000 gns yearling, Persian Force filly. Dam unraced sister to useful middle-distance performer New Comedy. Yard are 1-3 with their debutantes so far this season and she commands a close look in the betting for clues.
Bayside View (IRE)
Foaled March 12. €80,000 yearling, Bayside Boy filly. Closely related to useful winner up to 1¼m Jennifer Jane and half-sister to 3 winners, including 5f-7f winner Enkindle.
Cash Cove (IRE)
New Bay filly who showed plenty to work on when finishing a close-up fourth in a Southwell maiden (7f) on debut 16 days ago, running on. Rates the type to build on that.
Divine Concerto
Foaled March 21. Stradivarius filly. Half-sister to useful 5f/6f winner Baker Blue. Dam 1m winner (including at 2 yrs). Stable are 0-11 with their debutants so far this campaign.
Jazz Queen (IRE)
Good second in maiden at Chester in May but failed to build on it when fourth of 9 in similar company at Haydock (6f, good to soft) 15 days ago. Worth another chance but she may not want too much rain to arrive.
Met Ball (IRE)
Foaled April 6. Night of Thunder filly. Half-sister to 7f winner Fashion People. Dam, 2-y-o 7f winner, sister to useful 1¼m/10.4f winner Star of Wins out of useful maiden Ninas Terz. Group 2 entry who represents leading yard so there's lots to like.
Rhodes Runner (IRE)
Minzaal filly who has a pedigree of contrasts and despite being all the rage in the market, shaped as if needing experience (ran green) when fourth in a Salisbury conditions event (5f) 5 weeks ago. In top hands though, and strong suspicion she's capable of better.
