Timeform View

A chance is taken that the switch to the in-form Wintle yard will revitalise UNCLE ALBERT, who has dropped to a handy mark on the pick of his Irish form. King of The Dance arrives in good heart and is also respected, with Charencey taken to complete the 1-2-3.

Timeform Comments

Homeland
Winner at Ripon last July for Michael Dods. Left that yard for 4,000 gns and offered something to work starting out for current yard when fifth of 12 in handicap at Wolverhampton (9.5f, 12/1). Merits market check after 6 months off.
Charencey (IRE)
Losing run is mounting up but he wasn't disgraced after 6 months off when fifth of 10 in handicap at Nottingham (1m) 49 days ago. Ought to be sharper now.
Rival
It's now 21 runs since he last scored in 2022 but he was in decent heart when last seen, extending his run of in-frame efforts when fourth of 15 in handicap (14/1) at this C&D (good). Entitled to need this with blinkers reapplied.
Whiskey Sunrise
Ran best race when unlucky nose second of 11 in a Kempton handicap (1m) in January but reverted to his free-going ways when fifth at the same C&D when last seen in March. Has since left Pat Phelan and has first-time tongue strap applied.
King Of The Dance (IRE)
Arrives here in good form, making the frame for the fifth start in a row when fourth of 10 in handicap (13/2) at this course (7f, good to firm) 8 days ago. Step back up in trip is no issue and he can make his presence felt again.
Nutcracker
Still winless but has seemed a slightly improved model of late, placed for the second outing in a row when third of 11 in minor event at Wolverhampton (8.6f) 68 days ago. Probably needs to find more again if he's to break his duck back in a handicap.
Uncle Albert (IRE)
A while since he's threatened to score and has finished only mid-field in 3 starts in Ireland this year for Kieran Patrick Cotter, but he's dropped a long way in the weights and might be worth chancing for a new yard that are amongst the winners at present.
Prince Ali
Well positioned when third at Wolverhampton (8.6f) in April but not in the same form when sixth of 8 at that same C&D last month. Cheekpieces back on but others are preferred.
Marisitta
Remains a maiden after 22 starts and not enough in her recent efforts to suggest she's about change that. Cheekpieces back on.
