Timeform View

On the back of a promising debut effort here, CLEODOLINDA is fancied to get off the mark at the second attempt. Desert Alchemist is likely to improve from his first start and may prove best of the rest, while barrier trial runner-up Spirit Of Mann also looks interesting.

Timeform Comments

Come On Noddy (IRE)
Foaled February 23. €4,000 yearling, Profitable colt. Half-brother to 7f-9.4f winner Easily Convinced. Dam French 2-y-o 1¼m winner. Inexpensive purchase and this looks a tough ask.
Desert Alchemist (IRE)
Ghaiyyath colt made an encouraging start to career when third of 9 in a maiden at Cork (6f, soft) on debut. Wasn't given anything like a hard time that day, and while the drop back to 5f is hardly in keeping with his pedigree, he still remains a likely improver.
Hanney Boy (IRE)
€30,000 Kodi Bear colt has finished second on both starts, running to a similar level as on debut at Cork (6f, soft) last time, and he should give another good account.
Howlin Wolf (IRE)
Lacking for sharpness when well held on debut over 6f here and may need more time.
Rejoinder (IRE)
€92,000 foal, €82,000 2-y-o. Space Blues colt. Closely related to useful winner up to 1m Thunder Beauty (2-y-o 6f winner) and half-brother to 3 winners, including useful 1½m winner Haku and 11f-1¾m winner Quita. Dam German 11f/1½m winner. Makes some appeal on pedigree and is one to note for support.
Spirit Of Mann
Foaled February 6. 160,000 gns yearling, 160,000 gns 2-y-o, Havana Grey colt. Dam 2-y-o 7f winner. Finished second of 9 in barrier trial at Naas in May and no surprise to see him make an impact first time up under Rules with Colin Keane booked.
Arrowstock (IRE)
Foaled January 4. €17,000 yearling, Cotai Glory filly. Dam winner up to 7f (2-y-o 6f winner). Others appeal more on paper.
Away And Gone (IRE)
£40,000 Ardad filly attracted support but wasn't seen to best effect when down the field in a Cork maiden on debut (short of room and not given a hard time). Market should offer plenty of clues with yard also saddling Cleodolinda.
Cleodolinda (IRE)
Bred to be sharp and looked slightly unlucky not to make a winning start when runner-up in a C&D maiden on debut, doing all her best work at the finish. She will have learned plenty from that experience and with improvement expected, she's probably the one they all have to beat.
Queenofthewild (IRE)
Held back by inexperience when eighth of 10 on debut at Cork (5f, heavy, 7/1) and is more likely to be one for the longer term.
