Timeform View

William Haggas holds a very strong hand with the progressive TENABILITY and last year's winner Hamish, the former shading the vote in receipt of 5 lb. Arabian Crown is another serious player on return.

Timeform Comments

Hamish
Admirable veteran who won the ninth Group 3 of his career in St Simon Stakes at Newbury in October. Made it 2 from 2 over this C&D when making a winning return in this last year and good chance he can do so again under a penalty.
Arabian Crown (FR)
Sandown Classic Trial winner sole run at 3 yrs. Highly tried last season and appreciated the drop to this level when narrow winner of listed race at Windsor final start. Should be bang there.
Glen Buck (IRE)
Very lightly raced and has won 4 of his 6 starts on the all-weather but bit to find in this class switched to turf for the first time.
Involvement
Showed he retains all his ability back from an absence when winning 9.5f Meydan handicap in March and ran up to his best when a close fourth in listed race here 16 days ago. Steps up in trip now but can take a hold.
Midak (FR)
Useful winner for Francis-Henri Graffard in France but failed to reach those heights both starts for this yard in the UAE this winter. Bit to prove now.
Tenability
Most progressive last season landing a 4-timer in a warm handicap at Ascot. Returned with an excellent third in Newbury Group 3 7 weeks ago and no surprise if there was even more to come from him.
