Timeform View

A case can be made for several but L'AMIRAL FROMENTIN showed enough last time to suggest his turn is near, so he could be the answer. Struck Oil should improve for his recent chasing debut but may have to settle for second, with the hat-trick chasing Spanish Maid sure to be on the premises once again.

Timeform Comments

Moylussa (IRE)
Only has one win over hurdles but ran up to best when third of 15 in handicap at Ballinrobe (2m, good to soft) 13 days ago, making effort earlier than ideal. A runner-up in points, he makes an interesting switch to chasing here.
Must Go Now (IRE)
Best recent effort came when third in a handicap hurdle at Cork in March. Tailed off both starts in chases. Hard to make a case for.
Piccolo Player (IRE)
Won second start at Limerick in November. Best effort since when second in handicap hurdle at Kilbeggan (2m, good to soft) in April. Not in same form last time. Makes chasing debut.
Soldante (IRE)
Progressive since sent chasing, making frame in each start. 8/1, third of 12 in handicap chase at Wexford (2m, good to soft) in May. Looks sure to be in the mix again.
Party President (IRE)
Scored on first 2 starts in handicap hurdles last spring for Anthony Mullins. Maiden pointer who was pulled up in handicap at Tramore (15f, good, 6/1) on chasing/yard debut 10 days ago. Others preferred.
Presenting Lad (IRE)
C&D winner. Thirteen runs since last win in 2024. Stepped up on reappearance run when second of 11 in handicap chase at Tramore (15f, good, 14/1) 10 days ago. Enters calculations from the same mark.
Stoneyford Lady (IRE)
Made good start over fences, scoring at Thurles in November and shaping much better than the distance beaten suggests at Limerick next start. May have needed run when seventh of 14 in handicap (17/2) at Kilbeggan (2½m, good to soft) in April.
Keep On Dreaming (IRE)
Won twice in points this year. Strong in the betting and still in contention when fell heavily 4 out in cross-country chase at Punchestown (3m, good) in April. Makes handicap debut and remains to be seen if this marked drop back in trip is what he wants.
Struck Oil (IRE)
Runner-up when last seen over hurdles at Bellewstown in April. 5/2, not seen to best effect when third of 10 in handicap at Downpatrick (19f, good) on chasing debut 31 days ago, not ideally placed. Should improve in this sphere and is one to be interested in.
Katherine (IRE)
Twelve runs since last win in 2024. Fourth of 8 in mares hurdle at Listowel (2m, good, 50/1) 9 days ago. Has a bit to prove back chasing.
L'amiral Fromentin (FR)
Modest chaser. Has shaped well of late back over fences, unlucky not to finish closer when third of 14 in handicap at Limerick (2¼m, good) 18 days ago, finishing with running left after meeting some trouble. Yard has been among the winners of late and races from the same mark as last time.
Chosen Shant (IRE)
Step back in right direction when third of 10 in mares handicap hurdle (25/1) at Listowel (2m, good to soft) 7 days ago. Reverts back to chasing with a lower mark in this sphere.
Donnrua Dream (IRE)
Took advantage of a much reduced mark when winning over hurdles at Limerick (2m) in February. Let down by jumping when pulled up in handicap chase there (2¼m, good) 18 days ago. Isn't the most consistent.
Spanish Maid (IRE)
Got back on track since joining this yard, opening her account in a handicap chase at Tramore in April and following up in a handicap hurdle at Punchestown 26 days ago. Refitted with the cheekpieces back chasing and looks sure to give another good account from a 5 Ib higher mark.
