Timeform View

KRISSY has taken her form up a notch or two in recent weeks and despite having left the impression recent busy spell had caught up with her at Thirsk 8 days ago, Jim Goldie's mare is taken to regain the winning thread. Her main danger may emerge from Amancio, who ran well when third on his recent Newbury return and should strip fitter here. Star Cast and veteran Redarna can fight out minor honours.

Timeform Comments

Amancio
Ran well after 5 months off from hurdling when third of 15 in handicap at Newbury (1½m, good), his absence seeming to tell late on faced with a thorough examination of fitness. Entitled to come on from that here so can be involved dropped back in distance.
Style Of Life (IRE)
Better than ever last year, recording back-to-back wins at Chester and Pontefract in June. Backed up that improvement shown in a couple of starts the following month but beaten by much more than the 10-month absence at York on recent reappearance. Usual tongue tie reapplied.
Cosmos Raj
A dual 1m winner at Ripon last summer but he ended 2025 well below par and has offered little on both outings this campaign. Handicapper eases his grip further and his usual cheekpieces are reintroduced.
Sound Janet
Placed on 4 of her 6 starts for Roger Varian but offered little when tailed-off last of 12 on yard debut/return at Newcastle (1¼m) last month. Has had a breathing operation since.
King Of Fury (IRE)
Has returned to action this year with a few below-par efforts, too free upped in trip after 10 weeks off at Newcastle (1¼m) last month. Given more help by the handicapper but others more appealing on balance.
Redarna
Five-time course winner who has been given a chance by the handicapper and turned in best effort of the season when sixth of 11 at Ayr (1m, good to firm) just under 3 weeks ago. Eased another couple on the back of that and not without each-way claims.
Pink Azalea (IRE)
Three-time winner last term (including here) but form tailed off dramatically on final 2 starts and she's offered little on both outings this season.
Titainium
Won over 1¼m at Wetherby this time last year but finished tailed off on his next 2 starts. Back down to his last winning mark on return but best watched for now.
Krissy (IRE)
Form has taken off since the end of last year, recording a third win of the season over C&D last month. Left the impression recent busy spell had caught up with her when down the field at Thirsk (1m, good) 2 days later but subsequent 8-day break will help her cause. Remains of serious interest.
Star Cast
Notched her fourth win of the year when defying a penalty at Ripon last month. Ran well in defeat in her hat-trick bid when third of 6 at Musselburgh (12.5f, good) 18 days ago and fancied to be in the mix again dropped back in distance.
Skinny Malinka (IRE)
Fair maiden for Ed Bethell in 2024 but pulled up on hurdling debut for Noel Wilson at the end of that year and not seen since. Can only be watched.
Yermanthere (IRE)
On a long losing run and ran poorly on his Flat return when tenth of 11 at Beverley (7.4f, good to firm) 12 days ago. Handicapper drops him 3 lb and could show more with that under his belt.
Runninsonofagun (IRE)
On lengthy losing sequence and was stretched by the trip rather than beaten by a lack of fitness when 6½ lengths eighth of 9 to Krissy over C&D (good to soft) 10 days ago. Easy enough to look elsewhere.
Concert Boy (IRE)
Yet to score in 2026 but typically gave his running when fourth of 9 in handicap at Newcastle (1m) back in March. All wins have come at that track so more will be needed to open his turf account.
