Timeform View

This could be fiercely-run which will suit the in-form TRILBY and he's taken to resume winning ways. His old rival The Bell Conductor can go well again if backing up his Haydock showing, while Peter The Wolf has some good 3-y-o sprint handicap form and should find a race like this soon.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

The Bell Conductor traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on 3 of its last 5 starts: Qila traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP twice on its last 3 starts.

Timeform Comments

Station X
Stole a length on his rivals at the start when scoring at Southwell in April and ran respectably in his follow-up bid at Hamilton (unable to secure the outright lead). Couldn't dismiss down in class.
Francisco's Piece
Went wrong way from an encouraging return last season and though he didn't stop the slide when seventh at Catterick 9 weeks ago, it's possible that outing was needed.
Accrual
Front runner who scored twice over 6f on all-weather around the turn of the year but has been operating a little below that level since, including back on turf when beaten 6 lengths by Trilby at Haydock 3 weeks ago. NON RUNNER.
Trilby
Well backed again in first-time cheekpieces and resumed winning ways in 5f Haydock handicap (soft) last month from The Bell Conductor and Accrual. Fine third in a big-field York handicap just 2 days later (forced to challenge widest) and can go well again with guarantee of a good pace to aim at.
The Bell Conductor (IRE)
Scored 3 times on all-weather/turf during a productive 2024 and having dropped a long way in the weights ran better than for a while returned to turf and in first-time tongue strap when collared late by Trilby at Haydock 19 days ago. Player if backing that up after a 3 lb nudge.
Hundred Caps
Won twice at Beverley last year and again at Southwell in January. Not disgraced in a first-time visor at Beverley last time, although gave the impression he was keeping a bit back for himself once in the clear. Cheekpieces quickly return.
Vince L'amour (IRE)
Produced his best effort for a while when scoring at Ripon last month. Not so good back up in class since, although not best placed on the stand rail at Thirsk last time.
Parisiac (IRE)
Won 3 times in 2025 and returned with an all-the-way success at Hamilton on Thursday. Looks vulnerable under a penalty back up in class.
Spoof
Veteran has been sparingly campaigned in recent seasons but notched his first win since 2023 in a 17-runner handicap at Doncaster (5f, good to soft) at the Lincoln meeting. Remains well treated on old form, though whether he can back that up at his age remains to be seen.
Peter The Wolf
Successful in 6f maiden at Chepstow in September. Should have come on for his Southwell return 6 weeks ago and in the mix in refitted headgear judged on a run of good efforts from 4 lb higher last season prior to his win.
Arctic Summer
Fairly useful 6f winner in France. Showed she can be competitive in Britain when third at Pontefract (6f, heavy) last autumn but down the field in 3 runs this season. Cheekpieces go on and worth a look from tempting mark if conditions were really testing.
Qila
Improving by the run, not knocked about on return following a breathing operation at Newcastle (5f) 3 weeks ago. Can do better again now handicapping, although starts out in a competitive heat against older horses.
