Timeform View

A tricky finale to solve with several in with chances. Preference is for NOD OF APPROVAL, who shaped very well behind a next-time-out winner at Cork last time and Jessie Harrington's 3-y-o should have no problems with this markedly longer trip. Our Lucky Lady bolted up at Down Royal last month so she's feared most despite a 12 lb rise in the weights. Good Onya Mate, Miss Australie and Mr Rango are just a handful of others to consider, too.

Timeform Comments

Riyami (IRE)
Returned to form from out of the blue (first run since reportedly undergoing a breathing operation) when striking at Dundalk (2m) in March but down the field under various codes since, tailed off over hurdles at Wexford (3m, good to soft) most recently a fortnight ago.
Autumn Twist (IRE)
Had run well over jumps in April but wasn't at his best back on the Flat when sixth of 10 at Leopardstown (1½m, good) last month, his inexperienced rider not really getting to the bottom of him. Cheekpieces left off and heads significantly back up in trip.
Loyal Touch (IRE)
Successful for Charlie Johnston in 2024 but yet to fire for current connections (including over hurdles the last twice).
Good Onya Mate (IRE)
Showed much improved form on just his second try in a handicap when second of 13 at Gowran (1¾m, good to soft) 3 weeks ago, a change of tactics seemingly the catalyst. This longer trip should be in his favour so folly to ignore.
Quiz Test (IRE)
In frame in big-field handicaps on last 3 starts in 2025 and showed benefit of return when fourth of 13 in at Gowran (1¾m, good to soft) 3 weeks ago. However, it's now almost 3 years since his sole wins so others more appealing for win purposes.
Tatum (IRE)
Looked progressive in first half of last season, winning twice, including at Leopardstown final start. Shaped as if better for the run after 10 months off there last month and better expected now upped markedly in trip with headgear reapplied.
Mr Rango (IRE)
On long losing run and possibly found the race coming too soon when eighth of 13 at Gowran (1¾m, good to soft) 3 weeks ago. Upped in trip and shouldn't be underestimated dropped another 2 lb.
Miss Australie (IRE)
Finally got off the mark back up in trip in 16-runner handicap at Roscommon (1½m, good to soft) just over 3 weeks ago, suited by way race developed. 5 lb rise fair and she could kick on now up and running.
Lauderdale King (IRE)
Proved a different proposition making handicap debut over a 1f longer trip when third of 13 at Cork (10.4f, soft) just over 3 weeks ago, nearest finish. Upped markedly in distance and that could elicit further progress.
Ellaat
Veteran who has won 3 times on the Flat and 4 times over hurdles. Showed nothing returned to this sphere on yard debut here in April but ran well over hurdles at Ballinrobe (2¾m, good to soft) last month.
Nod Of Approval (IRE)
Shaped very well when second of 8 in handicap at Cork (1½m, good to soft) just under 7 weeks ago, finishing well after not clear run over 1f out. Handicapper nudges him up 3 lb for that near miss but every chance he can go one better.
Our Lucky Lady (IRE)
Transferred her jumps progression back to the Flat to take advantage of a drop in the weights when winning 14-runner handicap at Down Royal (2m, good) 12 days ago, value extra as her rider took things very easy late on. That form boosted since so remains of interest despite a 12 lb rise.
Almenfee (GER)
Fair winner on final outing in Germany last spring but remains with little solid form for current yard, ninth of 16 in handicap at this course (1½m, good to soft) in April. Mark continues to fall as she goes significantly up in trip.
Bynx (IRE)
Yet to win on the Flat but landed 2½m handicap hurdle at Thurles in October. Little to shout about over jumps the last twice and she's tough to enthuse over back in this sphere.
Pass The Buck (IRE)
Ran best race to date despite not looking the easiest of rides when third at Ballinrobe (9.6f, good) last month, the tight track possibly a factor in that. This markedly longer trip should suit for an in-form yard. 3 lb out of the weights.
Sioux Grit (IRE)
Remains a maiden after 17 Flat runs. Again well held when tenth of 14 in handicap (50/1) at Navan (13f, good) when last seen over 2 years ago. Significantly up in trip. Can only be watched after such an absence from 9 lb out of the weights.
