Timeform View

VELVET VEGA ran to a good level when second on her Newmarket debut and is likely to be hard to beat. Tribal Queen didn't achieve as much as the selection when third at Haydock but it was still a promising start to her career and she's second choice ahead of Danseuse.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Velvet Vega traded at a low of 4.10 and Betfair SP of 6.07 when losing last time, a race in which it raced in mid-field.

Timeform Comments

Danseuse (IRE)
3/1, promise when 2 lengths third of 6 in novice at Newcastle (12.5f) on debut 22 days ago, not knocked about. Likely to improve.
Gypsy Jazz Queen
St Mark's Basilica filly. Half-sister to winner up to 7f Main Target. Dam, 1m-1¼m winner, half-sister to very smart 9f-10.5f winner Izzi Top. Well-bred newcomer from a leading stable.
Midnight Steppers (IRE)
Down the field in 3 outings this spring. Outsider.
Palomezcal
Down the field on both starts and seems unlikely to be of interest until handicapping. One of 3 runners here for David Menuisier.
Persian Flaw
50/1, seventh of 11 in novice at Salisbury (1¼m, good to soft) on debut 27 days ago, making minor late headway from a poor position. The sort to do better in time.
Salve Allegra (FR)
Flintshire filly. Dam, placed at 8.5f in Jersey, out of half-sister to smart German performer up to 11f Salve Germani. Wears a hood on debut. Probably best watched.
Sullom Voe (IRE)
More one for handicaps based on her efforts at Sandown and Salisbury this spring.
Tribal Queen
10/3, shaped well amidst inexperience when third of 6 in novice at Haydock (1¼m, good to soft) on debut 19 days ago. Looks sure to progress.
Velvet Vega (IRE)
Promising 5 lengths second to the smart Earth Shot on Newmarket debut (1¼m, good, 9/2) just under 6 weeks ago. Will set the bar high for the rest to aim at if making the anticipated improvement.
