Timeform View

SEMELE's opening mark is potentially a fair one on the form she showed in a C&D maiden in March so she could be worth chancing. Imperial Cult landed a gamble on his return/yard debut at Lingfield 6 weeks ago so is the obvious threat ahead of Karakula, who only just failed at Wolverhampton last time.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Semele traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 3 starts: Three Yorkshiremen traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Man From Havana
More than hinted at ability in 3 outings over 1m last year. Switches to handicap company over a longer trip on return. One to note in the betting.
Wood Whisperer (IRE)
Lightly-raced maiden who disappointed on third start for this yard at Nottingham 53 days ago, once again racing freely.
Pershalla
Caused a surprise in a first-time hood when winning here (1½m) in April but was well positioned that day and has been undone off revised mark since.
Golspie (IRE)
Plenty of decent efforts in defeat this year but his free-going ways continue to be a hinderance. Engaged 20.12 Carlisle Tuesday.
Running The Game (FR)
C&D winner who's on a good mark on the pick of his form but likely to need this after 15 months off.
St Just In Time
Lightly-raced maiden who readily surpassed previous hurdles form starting out for this yard when just denied at Doncaster in spring 2025. However, made a very underwhelming return to this sphere following 15 months off at Southwell 3 weeks ago.
Semele
Pulled up no trees in 3 bumpers but is bred for the Flat and showed promise when fourth in maiden over C&D in March. Gone the wrong way in 2 starts since but opening mark is fair if bouncing back with headgear applied.
Sonnerie Power (FR)
C&D winner in January. Undone by revised mark since but has at least been eased another 1 lb.
Karakula
Opened her account after 11 weeks off at Wolverhampton in September. Good runner-up efforts both starts this spring, just failing at Wolverhampton (9.5f) last time. Didn't convince with her stamina over C&D in November but worth another try all the same.
Imperial Cult (IRE)
Landed a gamble on debut for this yard after 6 months off at Lingfield (1½m) 6 weeks ago, making all. No surprise should he have more to offer for his new handler.
Sea Of Charm (FR)
Made a positive start to the year but last 2 efforts suggest she's gone off the boil.
Blackwaterfoot (USA)
Winner at Ffos Las (1¼m, good) for Paul Attwater last summer but below par in 2 subsequent starts. Back from 7 months off under the care of a new trainer.
Three Yorkshiremen (IRE)
Justified support with wide-margin victory at Wolverhampton in November. However, was hit with a 10 lb rise in the weights for that success and has struggled for form since. Has left Barry Brennan.
Uzincso
Course regular who recorded a seventh win here over C&D in September. Best effort since when close fourth here (1½m) 3 weeks ago and back on last winning mark now.
