Timeform View

An open-looking contest in which it could be worth taking a chance on MARMELADOVA, who readily got off the mark in a Ballinrobe maiden last month and faced a stiff task at Gowran less than a fortnight later. She can make a winning handicap debut at the expense of Electric Beauty, who turned in another good effort from the front at Roscommon recently. Spanish Temptress, Lamberella and Great Mover round off the shortlist.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Spanish Temptress traded at a low of 1.01 and Betfair SP of 9.20 when losing last time, a race in which it raced towards the rear.

Timeform Comments

Spanish Temptress (IRE)
Triple winner in 2025 and bounced back to best trying 9.5f for the first time when second of 8 at Gowran (good) 10 days ago, just failing having led briefly well inside final 1f. Considered nudged up 3 lb for that near miss.
Tachos (IRE)
Made winning reappearance over C&D this time last year. However, looked rusty after 7 months off when sixth of 8 at Gowran (9.5f, good) 10 days ago and this should reveal where she's at.
Electric Beauty (IRE)
Followed a win at the Curragh in March with a battling second over the same C&D and turned in another good effort when second of 11 at Roscommon (10.3f, good to soft) last month, having run of race. Should be in the mix again.
Finsceal Annie (IRE)
Shaped as if needing the run after 5 months off here on return in April but fared little better the following month at Roscommon (7.5f, good). Handicapper drops her a chunk, but she's got a bit to prove all of a sudden.
Marmeladova (IRE)
Improved to get off the mark at the sixth attempt in a maiden at Ballinrobe on return last month. Had a lot on plate at the weights and ran about as well as could be expected when last of 4 at Gowran (9.5f, good to soft) 12 days later and can kick on now sent down the handicap route.
Justenzia (IRE)
Returned with a very good second at Gowran and backed that up when runner-up at Ballinrobe. Ran no sort of race minus her usual cheekpieces at former course earlier in the month so needs to bounce back.
Great Mover (IRE)
Returned to form without being able to capitalise on the run of things when third of 10 at this course (7f, soft) last week. Place claims again.
Anvika (IRE)
Losing run mounting up and yet to fire this season. Handicapper drops her another 4 lb but needs to show more before becoming of interest.
Speckled Meadow (IRE)
Fair handicapper who resumed winning ways at Naas in October. Predictably struggled in listed company on reappearance and needed the emphasis more on stamina when sixth of 13 at Naas (1m, good to soft) last month.
Codice (IRE)
Showed some ability in maidens early last year but ended season tailed off in a Curragh handicap on sole start for Mark Fahey. Tailed off in a couple of maiden hurdles this spring and looks an easy swerve back on the Flat.
Lady Chartwell (IRE)
Fairly useful handicapper for Charlie Johnston but offered precious little on both starts for this yard at Dundalk over the winter. Hood worn last time left off for her return and can only be watched for now.
Rocket Robyn
Has one standout effort to her name and was never involved on handicap debut at Gowran (1m, soft) in April. Hopes pinned on a first-time tongue tie sparking a revival.
Lamberella (IRE)
Looks to have been brought along gradually and wasn't seen to best effect when eighth of 12 on handicap debut at the Curragh (7f, good) last month. Remains with potential.
She's Ideal (IRE)
Shaping up well in handicaps this spring but found run of good form coming to a halt at Fairyhouse (1¼m, good) 6 days ago. First-time blinkers go on and she can bounce back quickly.
