DREAMLOVER wasn't able up to live up to market expectations on debut, but having been gelded since, he could fare better with his first experience behind him. He is taken to open his account at the expense of 2 of the newcomers, with Nascent Star respected for Hugo Palmer, ahead of Barnaby Rudge.

Timeform Comments

Barnaby Rudge (IRE)
Foaled April 18. 62,000 gns 2-y-o, Inns of Court colt. Half-brother to 5f winner (including at 2 yrs) winner Miss Yechance. Dam, 2-y-o 5f winner, half-sister to useful winner up to 9f Fuente Ovejuna, out of half-sister to US Grade 1 1¼m winner Mast Track. One to note (wears hood).
Blondie Larry (IRE)
Foaled March 18. €50,000 yearling, Showcasing colt. First foal. Dam 2-y-o 6f winner. Yard has only had a trio of 2-y-o newcomers so far this season, the first 2 both finishing runner-up.
Dreamlover (IRE)
Whose yard knows this family well, was strong in the betting but ran green on debut when fourth of 6 in maiden at Southwell 5 weeks ago (gelded since). No surprise to see a bold show this time around.
One In A Millz (IRE)
Well related but offered little on debut when last of 12 in maiden at Windsor (6f) 19 days ago. Needs to leave that effort behind dropped in trip.
Wolf's Gallop
Showed ability first time up when seventh of 9 in maiden at Doncaster last month, a race which has produced 2 next-time-out winners. Task is now to take a step forward.
Moriarty Moon
Looked in need of the experience both starts last month, upped to 6f when seventh of 11 in novice at Chester 12 days ago. Benefit of having 2 races could stand him in good stead.
Nascent Star
Foaled April 15. £20,000 yearling (private sale), Starman colt. Half-brother to 2-y-o 5.5f-7f winner Fiction. Dam unraced half-sister to useful winner up to 10.3f Azmeel out of useful winner up to 1m (2-y-o 7f winner) (stayed 1½m) Best Side. Yard going well with 2-y-o newcomers.
Shaniko
Fitted with hood for first outing, looked a hard ride when finishing last of 12 in seller at Chester (6f) 12 days ago, hanging badly right. Others preferred.
Agnes Hathaway
Has been held back by inexperience in 2 starts so far, again slowly away when seventh of 9 in maiden at Bath (5.7f) 16 days ago. May need more time.
Priscilla's Hope
Some encouragement on debut when third in a Yarmouth novice (6f) in April but hasn't built on that in 2 subsequent outings, unable to sustain effort when fifth of 9 in maiden at Redcar 16 days ago. Drops in trip.
