Timeform View

Likely improver FISKARDO is fancied to go one better than on his first start over hurdles at Ffos Las. Expensive bumper winner Kernie D'Airy will be a danger if building on her hurdles debut at the second attempt, while Mystic Wind is a notable newcomer for the red-hot Skelton yard.

Timeform Comments

Bacardi Blue (IRE)
Inexpensive purchase who went with little encouragement in a Newton Abbot bumper on debut last September and now switches to hurdles.
Fiskardo (IRE)
Having won a Perth bumper on the back of a significant absence, he made an encouraging hurdling debut when runner-up to a good one for the time of year at Ffos Las 3 weeks ago and looks the one they all have to beat.
Just Call Me Buzz
Showed more speed than previously when going close in a messy race over C&D second time up over hurdles, and while that was a step forward, this looks a stronger maiden.
Minella Blizzard (IRE)
Pulled up sole start in Irish points and showed nothing on Rules debut at Uttoxeter last week. Cheekpieces added.
Purple Owl (IRE)
Placed twice over 2m in a novice/maiden at Uttoxeter last winter but he ran even worse than on his handicap debut (having had a breathing operation in the interim) when pulled up at Southwell in late-March.
Dancingondiamonds (FR)
Cost €220,000 as a 2-y-o but only ran to a fair level in a pair of maidens for Joseph Patrick O'Brien. Has undergone a breathing operation since last seen in January (also wears first-time tongue strap) and needs a close look in the betting now sent hurdling by excellent new yard.
Mystic Wind (FR)
€32,000 3-y-o, Jeu St Eloi gelding. Dam placed in bumpers/ran once over hurdles in France, out of half-sister to fairly useful French 2m hurdler/chaser Bete A Bon Dieu. Leading yard continues in tremendous form, and he looks an interesting newcomer, especially if supported. Wears hood.
Angel Of My Dreams
Point bumper winner who has achieved little in 3 bumper starts under Rules and has something to prove now sent hurdling.
Kernie D'airy (FR)
Purchased for £155,000 after winning a French bumper but went backwards from her hurdle debut second when well held at Fakenham last time. She's clearly still learning, though, and is likely worth another chance with first-time tongue strap now added by her in-form stable.
