Timeform View

KATIE CAN'T COUNT makes plenty of appeal on paper for her top yard and is selected to make a winning start. Mevoila A Vassy is another well-bred individual from a stable that does particularly well in this sphere and would need taking very seriously should the market speak in his favour, while Flashy Fred is also of interest on his Rules debut.

Timeform Comments

Duck Hunter (IRE)
Portage gelding. Half-brother to 4 winners, including fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser Baileys Concerto, stayed 3m. Dam unraced. Pulled up sole start in points (May 17).
Hurricane Leaf (IRE)
Showed a bit on his Listowel debut in the autumn but couldn't even match that form at Sligo last month.
Ruled By The Sun (IRE)
Went with no encouragement when seventh of 9 in bumper at Limerick (19f, heavy) on debut 58 days ago. Tongue strap quickly applied.
Corway (IRE)
Vadamos gelding who ended up showing a bit on his recent debut at Kilbeggan but there was little in the run to suggest improvement will be forthcoming.
Flashy Fred (IRE)
Sholokhov gelding. Dam unraced sister to fairly useful hurdler (stayed 25f) Western Run. Third sole start in points (May 17) and has joined a yard 3-9 in bumpers.
Mevoila A Vassy (FR)
Voiladenuo gelding. Half-brother to French hurdle winner/chaser Peace Garden. Dam, ran twice on Flat in France, half-sister to high-class hurdler/fairly useful chase winner (2m-19f winner) Peace And Co. Well-bred sort for a yard that does well in this sphere.
Mule Skinner (IRE)
€42,000 3-y-o, Walk In The Park gelding. Dam, French 19f hurdle winner, half-sister to smart hurdler/useful chaser (stayed 3m) Grand Roi. Has a good pedigree and it will be interesting to see what the betting makes of him.
Katie Can't Count (IRE)
Order of St George mare. Half-sister to bumper winner/useful hurdler My Sister Sarah. Dam (h86), lightly raced over hurdles, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/very smart chaser (stayed 21f) J'y Vole. Makes obvious appeal on paper.
