This is wide open. ATOMIC FORCE didn't enjoy the smoothest of passages when third over C&D last time so edges the vote from recent Hamilton scorer Tricky Tel, who bids for a third success here. Rosenpur and Copper Knight are highly respected around here so can also have a say.

Timeform Comments

Atomic Force (IRE)
Landed back-to-back 5f handicaps on the all-weather early in 2026. Forced to angle wide to challenge when a solid third of 10 over C&D last time so is a likely player eased 1 lb.
Vintage Clarets
C&D winner. Best run this season when second of 20 in the Dash at Epsom (5f) 7 days ago. Up 3 lb but not taken lightly now back in form.
Ruby's Profit (IRE)
On a losing run but not disgraced when fourth of 7 in handicap at Nottingham (5f) 13 days ago. Cheekpieces added.
Rosenpur (GER)
Had a highly productive 2025, winning 5 times, and he gained a first success this season in 12-runner handicap here (6f) last month. Up 4 lb but very much one to consider in his bid for a fourth victory here.
Al Hussar
Resumed winning ways in determined fashion in 17-runner handicap at Thirsk (5f) 13 days ago. This C&D scorer should remain competitive despite a 3 lb rise.
Changeofmind (IRE)
Ended a long losing run at Pontefract (5f) in May and not disgraced with eighth of 17 at Thirsk (5f) 13 days ago. This C&D winner is not out of things.
Marty Hopkirk (IRE)
Got off mark at Wolverhampton last May. Arrives in decent nick this season, not best drawn when thirteenth of 14 in handicap at Carlisle (6f) 14 days ago. Cheekpieces added now.
Copper Knight (IRE)
Admirable veteran who showed an excellent attitude when adding to his career tally at Beverley in May. Not best drawn when a solid sixth of 17 at Thirsk (5f) 13 days ago. This 5-time C&D scorer is in the mix once more.
Blinky (IRE)
Ended 2025 in good order but yet to fire in trio of starts on all-weather/turf so far this year. Needs to step forward despite a falling mark.
Tricky Tel
Built on an encouraging reappearance third here to land 8-runner handicap at Hamilton (6f) 17 days ago, finding extra. Up 5 lb but this dual C&D winner can go well again.
