Timeform View

Not as competitive as the numbers suggest and Ben Pauling's new recruit ONEHUNDREDNEIGHTY is well worth another chance now upped in trip having not been seen to maximum effect when a running-on fourth over 2m at Worcester last time. Handicap debutantes No Risk Today and Kayla's Friend are both in good hands and look to have better days ahead of them too so rate the chief threats.

Timeform Comments

The Brave Guy (IRE)
Lightly-raced maiden. Shaped as if the run was needed after 5 months off when fifth of 9 in novice hurdle at Hexham (2m) 42 days ago. Back up in trip for his handicap debut and could have more to offer for good yard.
Ballynoe Boy (IRE)
Placed in a pair of good-ground bumpers and improved on low-key maiden/novice hurdle form when in the frame in handicaps at Doncaster and Market Rasen late in 2025. Needs considering after a break.
Roland Garros
Lightly-raced maiden over hurdles. Fair winner on Flat. Last of 7 in handicap at Beverley (1½m) 51 days ago. Back over hurdles with more needed in first-time blinkers.
Kayla's Friend (IRE)
Looked unlucky not to win an Irish point but seemingly being brought along with handicaps in mind for new yard, patiently ridden when fifth of 9 in 2m Worcester novice last month. Could take a step forward now handicapping with Sean Bowen up.
No Risk Today (FR)
Fetched £100,000 after winning an Irish point. Well held first 2 runs but better signs when sixth in maiden hurdles at Warwick and Worcester last month, going on well at the finish on latter occasion. Can do better on her handicap bow upped in trip.
Winston's Oath (IRE)
Showed a bit on bumper debut but yet to kick on over hurdles, coming in a remote third of 4 on his handicap debut at Fakenham (2½m, good to firm) 13 days ago.
Fane Court (IRE)
Winning pointer but yet to make an impact over hurdles and pulled up on his chasing debut at Exeter (2m) in March final run for Ben Lund. Has lots to prove for his new yard.
Onehundredneighty (IRE)
Lightly-raced maiden hurdler. Gambled on making his debut for Ben Pauling (formerly with Max Young) when fourth of 8 in handicap at Warwick (2m) 24 days ago, nearest at the finish. This return to further promises to really suit so he's one to be interested in.
Mya Du Clos (FR)
Lightly-raced maiden. First form when fourth of 7 in handicap hurdle at Ffos Las (2½m) 24 days ago. Needs to build on it.
Saint Vic (FR)
Remains a maiden but he arrives in decent nick, fifth of 10 in handicap hurdle at Worcester (23f) 16 days ago. No forlorn hope.
Saucats (FR)
Long-standing maiden but he ran one of his much better races (cheekpieces fitted) with second of 9 in handicap hurdle at Newton Abbot (2¼m) 17 days ago. Needs to back it up now with headgear retained.
Babychino (IRE)
Runner-up in a Flat seller. Maiden hurdler but not disgraced when fifth of 8 in handicap hurdle at Warwick (2m) 24 days ago. More needed though stepping up in trip if she's to get off the mark.
Sims' Law (IRE)
Not badly bred by any means but has shown nothing all 3 starts over hurdles, twice pulled up. Handicap debutant.
Celine Man (IRE)
Little show in 2 runs for Henrietta Knight in 2024 and, following a breathing operation, it's been a similar story in 2 starts for current yard. 4 lb out of the handicap.
