Timeform View

SWIPED stuck to his task well when runner-up at Salisbury 3 weeks ago and with 1m expected to be within range, he looks the answer. Musical Soldier and Tough Date are viable rivals.

Below market expectations both starts at 2 yrs and, after 9 months off (had been gelded), finished last of 5 in maiden at Windsor (6f) last month. Blinkers on switched to a handicap and much more like it when second of 14 at Salisbury 3 weeks ago. Up in trip and should be a big factor.
India Gold (IRE)
Hasn't been seen to best effect either start since winning a 7f Musselburgh maiden, left poorly placed held up on reappearance at Newmarket. Eased 3 lb and this a slight drop in grade.
Bird Of War (IRE)
Stepped up in handicaps during the autumn, channelling his energy more efficiently when running out a comfortable winner of a 7-runner nursery at Newcastle (1m) on final outing in November. Reverted back to free-going ways on Nottingham reappearance in April.
Thisonesforyou
Left qualifying form well behind when making a winning nursery debut at Leicester in October. Not in the same form over C&D 2 weeks later and off since (gelded) but he's in good hands.
Bosom Pals
Showed a good attitude when making a successful start in nurseries at Thirsk (7f) last summer. Well held next time before possibly needing the run upped to 1m when fourth of 7 at Nottingham 35 days ago. Also may have failed to stay and cheekpieces now applied.
Footstepinthewoods (IRE)
Consistent rather than progressive so far, keeping on for fifth over 7f at Salisbury 3 weeks ago. Has work to do with Swiped.
Aneirin's Sword (IRE)
Upped his game in handicaps this year, in first-time cheekpieces when doubling his tally at Wolverhampton in February. Shaped better than the distance beaten suggested when fourth of 6 at Southwell (1m) but was never really a factor at Kempton. Second turf start.
Barbuda Bay
Runner-up in a weak 7f course maiden last summer and found out in stronger races since, shaping like a non-stayer over 1¼m in April. Given a short break and back in trip for handicap debut.
Tough Date (IRE)
Tough mark on what he achieved in his qualifying runs and yet to make a significant impact in handicaps. This is a slight drop in grade, at least.
Solar Phoenix (IRE)
Debut fifth over C&D in October wasn't devoid of promise but unable to match that form both starts soon after. Market can guide on reappearance/handicap debut.
Denby's Dream
Failed to go on from her encouraging debut third for Paul Attwater as a 2-y-o but found her feet for new connections, runner-up twice in April, including over C&D. Must bounce back from a heavy defeat at Kempton 3 weeks ago.
Musical Soldier (IRE)
Made all over 7f at Wolverhampton last month. Beaten favourite twice since but runner-up effort back at that venue 11 days ago was a sound one. Should be in the mix back at 1m with apprentice taking over.
Time For Action
C&D winner in October but didn't come close to that level both subsequent starts to end 2025.
Leia Antilles (IRE)
Limited promise after 4 starts.
