Timeform View

SOUND JUDGEMENT looked well capable of winning a race of this nature when runner-up over 2m on hurdle debut and is fancied to bounce back from a lesser effort last time. Hurdling debutants Surfin USA and Majestic Horizon appeal as the likely dangers.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Sound Judgement traded at a low of 3.80 and Betfair SP of 3.61 when losing last time, a race in which it raced prominently.

Timeform Comments

Tribal Moon (IRE)
Fairly useful Flat winner who was well beaten on hurdling debut for previous yard, but he went close on first start for his new stable at Dundalk in late-November and at least warrants a market check back over hurdles.
Acheron
Has shown nothing to make him of interest over hurdles.
Gainsville (IRE)
Maiden pointer didn't achieve much when ninth of 16 in a novice hurdle (12/1) at Clonmel (19f, heavy) on Rules debut in February, but he's in excellent hands and should do better at some point.
I Can Find Em (IRE)
€2,000 3-y-o, €21,000 5-y-o, Court Cave gelding. Dam pulled up all 4 starts in points. Runner-up on last 2 of 3 starts in points and the market should offer plenty of clues on Rules debut.
Majestic Horizon (IRE)
Point winner improved on his debut form when third in a course bumper on his latest start and makes appeal now sent hurdling over a longer trip.
Nevermindestranger (IRE)
Point winner who has a patchy record under Rules and was sent off at 100/1 when unseating on reappearance/stable debut here last time.
Texas Red (FR)
Didn't offer a great deal in 4 bumper starts for Ronald O'Leary and is likely a longer-term project for new connections.
Open Approach (IRE)
Sent off at 5/1 when carried out early on hurdling debut at Clonmel (17f). This trip is more in keeping with his pedigree and warrants a close look in the betting for top yard (also saddle Sound Judgement).
Seekthisfairland (IRE)
Has offered little in a trio of maiden hurdles.
Lunar Majesty (IRE)
Made more impact than previously when third in a weak Clonmel maiden in early-April and now returns from a short break, having failed to repeat that effort at Tramore subsequently.
Sound Judgement (IRE)
Successful sole outing in points and following a promising hurdling debut second, she disappointed at Clonmel in late-March. However, she's been freshened up for this and should take the beating if back on song.
Surfin Usa (FR)
Promising second on debut at Sligo but had been off 20 months prior to finishing down the field in a Downpatrick bumper. Entitled to come on for that, though, and given her pedigree/connections is well worth another chance on hurdling debut.
Toor Idaho (IRE)
Offered little in maiden/handicap company in recent months.
Urra Mass Rock (IRE)
Shirocco mare. Half-sister to bumper winner/fair 21f hurdle winner The Boss Bear. Dam (h83) maiden hurdler. Likely to be one for the longer term.
