Timeform View

In a maiden where worthwhile form is thin on the ground the vote goes to Henry de Bromhead's SHARU, with the significant drop back in trip suggesting connections are of the opinion he failed to stay when attracting market support over 2¾m at Tramore last time. Silly Mongoose won't need to step up much on the level of his Clonmel fifth to have a big say, while Silver Salute could be a danger to all if belatedly recapturing the level of his Leopardstown hurdle debut.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Sharu traded at a low of 3.65 and Betfair SP of 6.00 when losing last time, a race in which it raced prominently.

Timeform Comments

Brohatna (IRE)
Modest form in maiden hurdles. Fifth of 15 at Downpatrick (19f, good to soft, 22/1) 24 days ago. Hood on first time.
Great Entirely (IRE)
Showed a bit when sixth on Wexford debut in April but pulled up at Limerick (2m, soft) since. A tongue strap is reached for after that.
Scotty Joe (IRE)
Point winner. Shaped better than the distance beaten suggests when just under 15 lengths sixth of 16 in maiden at Kilbeggan on hurdle debut but always behind at Punchestown since.
Sharu (IRE)
Thrice-raced maiden. Off 4 months, weakened when sixth of 13 in maiden at Tramore (2¾m, good to soft) 16 days ago, the fact he attracted market support suggesting his leading yard thinks he's capable of better. Down in trip now. Could have found a weak race.
Silly Mongoose (IRE)
Modest form in bumpers. Better effort over hurdles this spring when fifth of 17 in maiden at Clonmel (2½m, good, 50/1) 32 days ago. Can make presence felt.
Silver Salute (IRE)
Placed in point. Fair form when seventh on Leopardstown hurdle debut over Christmas but has struggled since, including well held in handicap at Navan (2½m, heavy) when last seen in February. Possible a break could have a reviving effect.
Sonny Fella
Poor maiden hurdler. Engaged 4.30 Downpatrick Sunday.
Undertheinfluence (IRE)
Mid-field in maiden hurdles at Downpatrick and Punchestown in recent weeks. This is a weaker race so no surprise were he to make more of an impact.
Betterluckthistime (IRE)
Big prices and well held in 2 maiden hurdles.
Drumadeise (IRE)
Beaten a long way in maiden hurdles at Limerick and Punchestown in recent weeks.
Jessie Roe (IRE)
Well beaten in points and bumpers and pulled up on recent hurdle debut.
Urinmydreams (IRE)
Yet to show any ability after 4 outings.
Yolanda's Star (IRE)
Poor form in maiden hurdles at Downpatrick and Punchestown of late.
Arizona Robbins (IRE)
Little form on the Flat for Andy Slattery and similar story over hurdles.
Adifferentballowax (IRE)
Little promise in valuable bumper on debut. 50/1, ninth of 18 in maiden at Limerick (2m, soft) on hurdle debut 18 days ago, not unduly punished. Engaged 2.20 Downpatrick Sunday. RESERVE.
Sky Lewis (IRE)
Well beaten in 2 bumpers and a maiden hurdle at Punchestown. RESERVE.
Rose Mountain (IRE)
Showed nothing in a pair of bumpers pulled up on recent hurdle debut after 15 months off. RESERVE.
