Timeform View

An open-looking sprint which can go the way of OUR GUY, who proved a different proposition when scoring on handicap debut over C&D 6 weeks ago and with better to come, a 2 lb nudge doesn't look enough to stop him from following up. Akabusi can give him most to think about reunited with Saffie Osborne, with Marcellinus and Born Slippy another couple worthy of consideration, too.

Timeform Comments

Alasrae
Very good spell on all-weather since joining George Boughey, winning 3 times. Struggled to land much of a blow from the near flank of the group when seventh of 14 at Hamilton (6f, good to firm) last month and yet to prove himself as good on turf.
Born Slippy
Ffos Las scorer last summer who seemingly produced his best effort to date when eighth of 15 to Ardisia in listed Two-Year-Old Trophy at Redcar (6f, good to soft) when last seen 8 months ago. Considered back in handicap company with yard in flying form.
Shahik
Progressive in trio of starts for George Boughey, showing a sharp turn of foot to win 4-runner Newcastle maiden in October. Always behind in listed race at Lingfield on return for new yard and has failed to get competitive in a couple of handicaps since. First-time blinkers applied.
Marcellinus
Left his placed form as a juvenile behind to make a successful handicap debut/reappearance at Bath (5.7f, good to soft) in April. Ran creditably faced with a 7 lb rise in the weights when second of 14 in handicap at Hamilton (6f, good to firm) the following month and should go well again.
Hayynah
Put experience to good use to get off the mark in 9-runner Southwell novice (5f) in February. Well held in a couple of handicaps since and she's hard to enthuse over.
Echo Of Faith (IRE)
Much improved on third start last year when winning maiden at Roscommon (7.5f) in August. Stepped up on reappearance run in first-time blinkers when seventh of 9 in minor event at Cork (1m, good to soft) in April and has since moved yards (16,000gns) ahead of this handicap debut.
Visually
Made a winning start in 7-runner novice at Bath (5f, good) on debut back in October but failed to progress when second of 5 in similar event at Wolverhampton (5f) later that month, the run possibly coming too soon. Can resume his progress on return/handicap debut (gelded in interim).
Akabusi
Capitalised on a drop in grade when proving too strong for 7 rivals at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) last month and not disgraced when fourth of 14 over C&D (good to firm) 8 days later. Considered reunited with Saffie Osborne.
Riley Rocks
Won 6f events at Newcastle and Southwell on his first 2 starts this year but never better than mid-field when fourteenth of 16 in handicap at Epsom (5f, good to soft) 10 days ago. Should find this easier.
Calling A Star
Improved to get off the mark in 6f fillies maiden at Wolverhampton on return but too free to see her race out back up in trip when last of 7 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7f) in April. Back sprinting and she'll need to settle much better.
Got The Booty (FR)
Finished runner-up in a couple of all-weather maidens before doing too much too soon at Catterick (6f, good) last time. The handicapper hasn't taken any chances with her opening mark.
Ecclefechan
A fair maiden who posted his best effort this year when fourth in a 6f handicap won by Akabusi in May. Not in the same form here last month and first-time cheekpieces are reached for. Others more appealing kept to this trip.
Our Guy (IRE)
Different proposition dropped to 6f for handicap and turf debut over C&D (6f, good) 6 weeks ago, staying on well to lead near the line. A 2 lb nudge doesn't look enough to stop one who probably has more to offer.
