SECONDS COUNT can take a step forward from her encouraging reappearance effort and finally get off the mark at the expense of Homeland. Recent C&D scorer Scarfo may have to settle for a minor role.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Haaf A Diamond traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP twice on its last 5 starts: A Rose Adaay traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on 3 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Racing Demon
C&D winner but is now on a long losing run and failed to build on reappearance effort last time. Isn't one to trust given his tardy starts.
Praise Indeed
Not much impact in maiden/novice events for Tom Ward last season, so it'll be interesting to see whether the market speaks favourably for her on handicap debut returning for a new yard after 11 months off.
Homeland
Winner at Ripon last July for Michael Dods. Ran well on return when third of 9 in handicap over C&D (soft) 9 days ago. Makes appeal with that run under his belt.
Hammal (IRE)
Low-key start for current connections after a lengthy absence.
Seconds Count
Placed twice when with William Haggas last year. Showed more than on stable debut 5 months earlier when fourth of 11 in handicap (40/1) at Wolverhampton (8.6f) on return 14 days ago. Can take another step forward with that run behind her.
Rival
Made frame in last 4 starts in 2025 but was too free refitted with blinkers on return over C&D (soft) 9 days ago. Has the headgear discarded but may just still need this outing.
Diamondsinthesand (IRE)
A three-time winner last season but has been operating below his best this spring. Is having a rare start at this trip and has it to prove at present. The hood goes back on.
A Rose Adaay
Lightly-raced maiden who fared better than previously in handicaps when third of 8 to Scarfo over C&D (soft) last week. Can't be discounted having dropped another 1 Ib.
Scarfo (IRE)
More prominent in the betting than of late when ending a long losing run in 8-runner handicap over C&D (soft) 9 days ago. Further market support would be significant in follow up bid.
Desert Charm
Won classified event at Yarmouth (1m) 12 months ago. Sound enough return to action when a keeping-on third in handicap over 7f at Southwell in May. Return to 1m will suit though may have to settle for a minor role.
Haaf A Diamond
On a lengthy losing run but posted one of her better efforts when third in a Nottingham handicap on return from a 7-month absence in April. Badly hampered at Southwell next time but others still make greater appeal for win purposes.
