OSELTON has a handy low stall and that tips the vote his way over Lope Y Linda, who is drawn widest. Emerald Army is next on the list ahead of Ivan Furtado's Crystal Aurora.

Timeform Comments

Miss Willows
Pair of 7f wins last year. Ran poorly on Thirsk reappearance. Can have a line put through subsequent Ripon run (blindfold off late and raced alone far side) but it's hard to be sure she's in much form.
Emerald Army (IRE)
A fair 7f winner for Declan Carroll in 2025. Shaping well for his new yard this season, finding only one too good over 7f at Catterick (good) and Carlisle (good to soft) on last 2 outings. Considered.
Oselton
Much improved when gaining a first success at Southwell (7f) in September. All the sharper for reappearance when close second of 13 at Doncaster (7f, good, 13/2) 31 days ago. Big player from a handy draw.
Valsharah (IRE)
Free-going sort is a long-standing maiden (record stands at 0-24). Respectable fourth of 7 in handicap (6/1) at Brighton (7f, good) 18 days ago. Proving frustrating and the wait for a first victory may go on.
Bantz (IRE)
Won at Doncaster (7f) in April 2025 but been out of sorts for a while, including in 2 runs for new yard this season.
I Can Boogy
Won a classified event over 1m at Newcastle in February and has been placed twice in similar events over that same C&D since. Below par back on turf at Ripon last time, though.
Billyjoegold
Hasn't built on his opening Newcastle third so far, including well held in 2 handicaps. First start on turf. Emerald Army is the more obvious of the stable pair.
Summer Rain
Modest maiden who offered little obvious encouragement on last month's Doncaster reappearance for new yard.
Indy's Angel
Fourteen runs since last win in 2024. Cheekpieces on first time, eighth of 11 in handicap (33/1) at Catterick (7f, good) 26 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Others are preferred.
Langholm (IRE)
Course winner but has yet to fire this year.
Elettaria (IRE)
Dual winner of 7f classified events at Newcastle in 2025 but hasn't threatened to add to her tally this year.
Hear The Drums
Soft-ground winner over 7f at Leicester in October but has offered little in 2 comeback outings this spring. A bounce back is needed.
Crystal Aurora (IRE)
Modest maiden. One of her better efforts when fourth of 9 in handicap (7/2) at Ripon (1m, good) 19 days ago, weakening as if this return to a slightly shorter trip may help.
Lope Y Linda
Improved to get off the mark in 7f Catterick handicap under Jake Dickson last month. Creditable second of 6 in handicap (7/4) at Musselburgh (1m, good to firm) 11 days ago, clear of rest. Good shout assuming the outside stall isn't too troublesome.
