IT JUST TAKES TIME bounced back to form when second at Wetherby and shades the vote over Zarvali, who caught the eye at York. City Captain is also respected.

Timeform Comments

Kosometsuke
Won twice last season and looked as good as ever returning for new yard when narrow winner over C&D in April. Found the drop in trip against him back here next time but ran poorly at Musselburgh since.
It Just Takes Time (IRE)
Sole win last season came at Beverley off 1 lb higher in September. Slow start to this campaign but he was a back-to-form second at Wetherby 12 days ago and on a good mark if building on that.
City Captain
Progressed throughout 2025, winning 4 times, and was right back to his best when second to a handicap blot over C&D on second start back. Chased a strong pace at Haydock since so worth another chance.
Degale
Has just a 2024 novice win to his name but he's still low mileage and took a step back in the right direction when third at Nottingham last month. Ridden too aggressively next time so worth another chance to confirm he's back in form.
Ormolulu (IRE)
Mixed bag last season but seemed rusty at Leicester on return and next run at York is easy to overlook. Has eased to a handy mark.
Woodstock
Some good efforts in defeat last season and all the better for his reappearance when third over C&D last month. Bit too keen for his own good when fourth to This Farh at Beverley since.
This Farh
Back to winning ways when making all at Leicester and doubled his tally for the season at Beverley last month, showing good attitude. Undone by 3 lb rise in stronger race at Chepstow since and this no easier.
Mr King (IRE)
Refused to race for Iain Jardine once last season and below par both starts last month for new yard. One to treat with caution.
Gressington (IRE)
Winner at Newcastle off this mark in December but below par since.
Inside Story (IRE)
Won at third time of asking in maiden at Southwell in September and has acquitted herself well in defeat since, running to form despite pulling hard stepped up to this trip when fourth at Lingfield last time.
Zarvali (IRE)
Stepped up on his Irish form when landing 11-runner novice at Catterick (7f) on return and was much better than the bare result when sixth of 20 in York handicap last month, only really hitting full stride inside the final 1f. Worthy of consideration.
Fuji Mountain (IRE)
Went close to breaking a long losing run at Pontefract in April but hasn't backed that up since.
