Timeform View

Archie Watson/Brodie Hampson typically do well in these events and QUICK QUASAR looks the one to be with. Pentonville is feared on the back of an improved effort, though, while hat-trick seeking Imola is another credible danger.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

There is a chance of a pace burnout early, and Quick Quasar is one who could suffer as a result: Such a hotly-contested pace as is on the cards here may be to the benefit of Rhythm N Rock who is likely to make a challenge late.

Timeform Comments

Rhythm N Rock (IRE)
Posted his best effort for a while when successful in this grade at Kempton last time, ending a losing run stretching back to early-2022, but he isn't an obvious type to follow up from 4 lb higher.
Imola (IRE)
Free-going sort made it back-to-back course victories on return from 3 months off here (9.5f) last time. Course form looks solid and with the slightly shorter trip unlikely to inconvenience, she's expected to go well in her hat-trick bid.
Volto Di Medusa (IRE)
Capitalised on a falling mark with a narrow success at Lingfield last time, though he isn't an obvious one to follow up under an inexperienced rider, given his recent tendency to blow the start.
Sandret (IRE)
Rejuvenated since joining current yard and was well positioned to make it 2 wins in 4 starts under this rider at Thirsk last time. May find life tougher from a wide draw off 2 lb higher, though.
Harbour Vision
Veteran who landed back-to-back course handicaps (7f) earlier in the year but has looked badly out of sorts in recent starts.
Silky Lass
Newcastle novice winner backed up a solid C&D run when 1½ lengths third of 10 to Imola on her latest start and is relatively unexposed for one in this grade.
Pentonville
Lightly-raced 3-y-o who showed improved form when runner-up in first-time cheekpieces on handicap bow at Leicester, doing well to keep the long odds-on favourite honest, and he's expected to go close again.
Quick Quasar (IRE)
Low-mileage 3-y-o who put it all together to get off the mark under an aggressive front-running ride at Kempton (7f) in March. Should get the longer trip on that evidence and with the form working out well (second has won twice since), he's worth siding with again.
Molly Valentine (IRE)
C&D winner looks to have lost her way, faring no better than on stable debut here last time.
Ebn Sabt
Won at Lingfield in February for William Muir & Chris Grassick but subsequently lost his form and showed nothing on stable debut at Chepstow (7f, soft, 50/1) last time.
Hashtagnotions (IRE)
4-time winner who continued below his best when seventh of 11 in a C&D handicap earlier this month.
Pipily
Fared better than previously with the run of the race when fourth of 5 on qualifying run at Newmarket (7f). Has a 10-month absence to overcome but is well worth a go in first-time cheekpices/over a longer trip on handicap debut.
This Rib
Having hinted at ability last year, he was presumably amiss when running poorly on return/handicap bow at Haydock (7f, 18/1), though it's hard to be confident even with tongue strap back on.
