Timeform View

BEATTIE IS BACK is almost certainly in better heart than his form figures suggest. having little chance from his draw behind Glory Hyde over C&D 2 weeks ago. At the likely prices, he's a sporting bet to reverse the form on these terms. Ripon specialist Mark's Choice should be firmly in the mix, too.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Beattie Is Back traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 25% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Glory Hyde (IRE)
Capitalised on easing mark at Wetherby in April and, having met trouble in running next time, she's confirmed she's in top form with further wins at Redcar and this C&D 2 weeks ago. Up 7 lb for that decisive success but clearly deserves utmost respect in current mood.
Beattie Is Back
Worked his way back to best this year, looking unlucky not to win when beaten a neck at Wolverhampton (7f) in February. Was left poorly placed at York and also didn't have much luck when 10¼ lengths sixth of 10 to Glory Hyde over C&D 14 days ago from a very tough track position. Looks interesting.
Blind Beggar (IRE)
Winner at Sandown (5f) last summer for Michael Appleby and went close over the same C&D on stable debut. However, he's been well below form in 3 outings this year and for all he drops in grade here, he has enough to prove at present.
Beyond Borders (IRE)
Hindered by the odd slow start but broke on terms and cashed in on a handy mark with a tongue strap fitted at Wolverhampton 2 weeks ago. Showed a good attitude in the process and retains handicap scope up 4 lb.
Mark's Choice (IRE)
Tremendous record at Ripon and arrives on the back of a good second of 6 at Catterick 18 days ago. Still 4 lb above last winning mark but demands a second look whenever he runs at this track.
Bye Law (IRE)
Bagged a pair of 6f novice events at Ayr and Redcar last summer. Has failed to kick on since but easily best effort in handicaps when third of 13 at Thirsk over 6f 12 days ago. Has now found his level.
