Timeform View

The drop in grade/first-time headgear may just see RAVEN'S VIEW open his account. Hood Wink, Trucial Pearl, Hatamoto and Regal Knight are others to consider in a trappy low-grade handicap.

Timeform Comments

Hatamoto
Well backed when runner-up to a subsequent winner over this trip on handicap debut at Carlisle, he didn't see out his race over a longer trip (9f, soft) there last time but looks worth another chance back down in distance/grade.
Lc Tiffen
Makes only her second start in a handicap but has been well beaten at long odds on all 5 outings to date.
Shimmering Spirit (IRE)
Failed to improve on handicap/turf debut at Leicester in mid-April. Steps back up in trip following a short break, but it's hard to be confident.
Shes Got The Blues (IRE)
Finished fourth behind a subsequent winner at Windsor on penultimate start and justified support to open her account in a classified event under Billy Loughnane at Leicester last time. Yard in fine form, though she'll need to pull out more to defy a penalty back in a handicap.
Raven's View (IRE)
Fifth in a race that worked out well on qualifying run at Newcastle (6f) earlier this year. Down the field in a 1½m Thirsk handicap latest (unproven at trip), though has been given a chance by the handicapper and looks interesting with cheekpieces added on first start in a 0-55.
A Boy Named Mary (IRE)
Hinted at ability in an all-weather novice last winter and while he's made little impact at long odds in a couple of Redcar handicaps this season, the handicapper has at least been quick to relent.
Hood Wink
Found improvement when dead-heating at Wetherby (1m) in April and having recorded his best effort yet when third of 9 in a C&D handicap last time, he has to be high on the shortlist. Yard also represented by Hatamoto.
Trucial Pearl
Ardad filly looks to be building up to something, finishing third of 11 in handicap at Catterick (7f) last time, and her pedigree/run style offers hope that 1m will prove within range.
Regal Knight
Maiden who raced up with the pace when fifth (behind patiently-ridden Hood Wink) in a strongly-run C&D handicap on his latest start. Looks the type to benefit from first-time cheekpieces and may be able to dictate on this occasion.
