  3. High Morals (USA)

Timeform View

There are a few lingering doubts over JOGA BONITO's temperament given he's hung left on both outings so far, but he's also shown enough ability to think he can win a maiden like this and looks the way to go. Full Volume is an appealing newcomer who won't need to be anything out of the ordinary to make his mark, while High Morals, who was sent off favourite on debut in a better race at the Curragh, should improve on his showing there.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Joga Bonito traded at a low of 11.00 and Betfair SP of 2.78 when losing last time, a race in which it raced towards the rear.

Timeform Comments

High Morals (USA)
Sales price rose markedly to €90,000 last year and was sent off favourite on debut at the Curragh (6f), but he proved badly in need of the experience. Looks sure to do better.
The Pipeman (IRE)
Foaled April 19. €6,000 yearling, Cotai Glory colt. Half-brother to winner abroad by Holy Roman Emperor. Dam, Italian 7.5f/1m winner, half-sister to high-class winner up to 9f Beauty Only.
Full Volume (FR)
Foaled April 2. Lucky Vega colt. Dam 9.4f winner out of useful 6f-7f winner Music Box, herself sister to very smart winner up to 1½m Ektihaam. Appealing newcomer for leading connections.
Mutamarid Lsk (IRE)
Foaled March 19. Ten Sovereigns colt. Dam, winner up to 1¼m (2-y-o 1m winner), half-sister to useful 7f-9f winner Admiral de Vega. Seventh of 9 in barrier trial at Naas in May.
Portaliffe Phil (IRE)
Well held in 6f maidens at Cork and Fairyhouse.
Joga Bonito
Been short in the betting on both starts, again hanging left as he stayed on for second at Fairyhouse 3 weeks ago. Sets the standard and should go well if proving straighter back over 7f.
Kraar (IRE)
20/1, shaped as if better for the run and not knocked about in 6.3f Listowel maiden on debut 3 weeks ago. Should progress.
Noble Agenda (IRE)
Foaled February 24. €4,000 foal, €25,000 yearling, King of Change colt. Half-brother to several winners, including 2-y-o 1¼m winner Ne Jamais Renoncer and 2-y-o 1m/9f winner Relief Quest. Dam 5f winner.
Supreme Act (IRE)
Foaled February 4. €20,000 foal, €21,000 yearling, Supremacy colt. Half-brother to winner abroad by Profitable.
Shesthedevil (IRE)
28/1, finished well held in 6.3f Listowel maiden on debut 3 weeks ago, although the penny was starting to drop late on. Can do better.
Closefield Beau (IRE)
Foaled March 8. Nando Parrado gelding. Half-brother to 7f winner Dandy G Boy. Dam winner up to 7f (2-y-o 6f winner). Not without interest on paper first time up.
Golden Arizona (IRE)
Has run to a modest level in 2 maidens, keeping on when fourth behind useful sort at Gowran (7f) a week ago.
Sophia Royale (IRE)
Well held in Cork maidens. Steps up in trip again with cheekpieces tried.
Spanish View (IRE)
Foaled March 10. €3,000 yearling (private sale), Phoenix of Spain filly. Half-sister to 2 winners, including French 1m winner Nice Spirit.
Pink Venom (IRE)
€85,000 gns Soldier's Call filly, a half-sister to useful 2-y-o 6f-7f winner Rebel Diamond. 80/1, shaped better than the distance beaten suggests on debut at Leopardstown (7f) a fortnight ago, left with too much to do. Could leave that effort behind. RESERVE.
Caoch The Piper (IRE)
From a useful family but made little impression on debut at Leopardstown (7f, 14/1) last week. RESERVE.
Oristown Boy (IRE)
66/1, very green and well held on debut at Fairyhouse (6f) last week. RESERVE.
