Timeform View

DARN HOT DAME is going the right way and she looks capable of defying a 5 lb rise for her Windsor success. Boilermaker and Semper Femina are also improving so are feared most.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Aukus might not get things all its own way near the head of affairs but shouldn’t be held back by that alone: The leaders will have to go harder than the predicted pace forecast if the hold-up horses such as Semper Femina are going to come into things.

Timeform Comments

Aukus (IRE)
Possibly not straightforward and opening mark looks harsh given what she has achieved so far.
Celestarak (IRE)
Behind all 4 starts but he looked very rusty at Salisbury on handicap debut/return and probably has a bigger performance in him up in trip. Hood applied.
Semper Femina (IRE)
Lucky Vega filly who took a healthy stride forward on handicap debut when runner-up here (1¼m, heavy) last week despite not travelling so well as some on testing ground. Better conditions here likely to suit.
Blackisthenewblack
Improved with cheekpieces added when making her second handicap start a winning one at Kempton (1½m), albeit very much having the run of that race from the front. However, backed out of things tamely on turf debut at Thirsk next time.
Flash Kozo (IRE)
Consistent rather than progressive maiden and raced freely under a change of tactics at Newbury last month. More needed.
Boilermaker (FR)
Didn't show much in trio of novice events but has improved switched to handicaps/upped in trip this season, better for return when close second at Thirsk 5 weeks ago. Looks capable of getting off the mark soon with more still to offer over this distance.
La Peregrina
Similar form all 3 starts this year, looking one paced when well held on handicap bow at Newbury 5 weeks ago.
Darn Hot Dame
Progressive since switched to handicaps and pulled clear of the third when narrow winner at Windsor 4 weeks ago. Looks set to go well again.
