Timeform View

RAGGAAS is bred to be useful and showed plenty to work on when fourth in a Wolverhampton maiden 18 days ago. In good hands and open to improvement, he looks the one to beat. New Poetic who could well prove a different proposition starting out for the William Haggas yard, while Shoof Baeed is a newcomer to note in the betting for clues.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Raggaas traded at a low of 30.00 and Betfair SP of 34.00 when losing last time, a race in which it raced in mid-field.

Timeform Comments

He's Perfect (IRE)
Sioux Nation colt who showed only greenness when last of 10 in a Kempton novice (7f) on debut 23 days ago. Best watched now tackling a significantly longer trip.
New Poetic (IRE)
Son of New Bay who makes plenty of appeal on paper but looked a work in progress in 2 starts for Jessica Harrington in Ireland last year. Since made an interesting yard switch and he could prove a different proposition now starting 3-y-o campaign having been gelded.
Raggaas
200,000 gns yearling, St Mark's Basilica gelding. Bred to be useful and he showed plenty to work on debuting in a tongue strap when fourth in a Wolverhampton maiden (8.6f) 18 days ago. Entitled to build on that and bold showing expected.
Shoof Baeed
68,000 gns yearling, Sea The Stars colt. Brother to 2-y-o 8.6f winner Baba Ghanouj, closely related to useful 2-y-o 1m winner Star Caliber. Lots to like on paper and confidence behind him in the betting would look significant.
The Resdev Willow (IRE)
(Magna Grecia gelding who was at long odds for debut and offered little when last of 10 in a 1m maiden here 25 days ago.
Traveling Man
360,000 gns purchase who attracted some support in the betting but he showed only greenness when ninth of 10 in a Salisbury maiden over this trip 10 days ago. This promises to reveal more.
