Timeform View

ARGY BHAJI ran well when finishing second once more in a Wolverhampton maiden 3 days ago and he could be ready to go one better back in a handicap. He can see off the challenge of Believeinmenow who shaped better than the result on his latest outing, with Valor Spirit also in the mix.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Argy Bhaji traded at a low of 2.00 and Betfair SP of 3.35 when losing last time, a race in which it raced prominently.

Timeform Comments

Donald
Went close in 3-runner novice at Musselburgh on final start last year. However, wasn't able to improve any further when fourth of 9 on seasonal/handicap debut at Nottingham, before a lesser effort at Ayr last time. Blinkers on first time.
Believeinmenow (IRE)
Has shown improved form in handicaps this season, making the frame first 3 outings including when edged out only close home at Beverley in May. Excuses next time and got caught wide after a slow start when third of 7 at Pontefract 17 days ago. Merits consideration.
Mind Over Matter (IRE)
Runner-up in 6f maiden at Ayr on debut but hasn't gone on from that in 3 starts since. However, fitted in hood he shaped as if needing the run after 8 months off when fourth of 7 back at Ayr in May. Blinkers now applied and drop back in trip could suit on handicap bow.
Vinciamo
Following a breathing operation and fitted with tongue strap, got back to the sort of form he'd shown on debut for previous stable when narrowly denied in a Catterick novice last month. Failed to back that up, though, when well held sent handicapping at York 7 days ago.
Valor Spirit (IRE)
Fair form in 8 starts as a juvenile for Richard Fahey. After 7 months off (gelded), took a step forward on stable debut when second in 11-runner handicap at Ripon (6f) 22 days ago, so he's capable of a bold bid with recent run behind him.
Von Trotter
Runner-up on all 3 starts in all-weather novice/maidens but well below that level in handicaps the last twice, dropped in grade but again finishing down the field at Thirsk (6f) 2 weeks ago. Visor now reached for.
Sierra Sue (IRE)
Produced best effort dropped back to 6f when 1½ lengths fifth of 10 in maiden at Leicester (firm) in May. Failed to get home on heavy ground when fourth of 9 in handicap at Goodwood 7 days ago, so the return to less testing conditions should suit now tried over shorter.
Argy Bhaji
Has been holding his form well with runner-up efforts all 4 starts so far this year, twice in handicaps before beaten only by a promising rival back in maiden company at Wolverhampton (5f) 3 days ago. Major player.
O Fortuna
Showed more than previously on handicap debut when making the frame at Catterick on return. Hasn't kicked on since, though, tried in cheekpieces (now discarded) when fifth of 9 at Nottingham 6 weeks ago.
