Timeform View

Competitive stuff but this big field should bring out the best in penalised-winner FISCAL POLICY. Northcliff and Spring Bloom head the dangers.

Timeform Comments

Fiscal Policy (IRE)
Ended long losing run at Pontefract 11 days ago, the sound tempo bringing the best out of him. Can go well again under a penalty granted a similar set up.
Ancient State (IRE)
Has improved for the switch to Adam Kirby this season, winning at Southwell before runner-up at Lingfield and Wolverhampton. Not seen to best effect back on turf 10 days ago. Back up in trip but can race freely.
Spring Bloom
On a long losing run but was back to form with 2 good placed efforts at Goodwood/Newbury and still early days with this yard.
Rebel Path (FR)
Struggling for form earlier this year but big step back in the right direction re-united with this rider when third at Newmarket and claims if building on that.
State Of Madness
In excellent form for Charlie Clover over the winter but merely ticking over for current yard.
Jimmy Knocker (IRE)
Had been shaping up well prior to doubling his career tally over C&D last summer. Likely to have needed the run on first start since at Leicester last month but others look better treated.
Spirit Of Jenny (IRE)
Confirmed the promise of her reappearance when off the mark at Southwell and ran a solid race back on turf when second at Leicester. Respected.
Ancient Times
Scored at Catterick in May but well held 3 of last 4 starts.
Zoulu Warrior (IRE)
Back-to-back winner on the all-weather in December but struggled off revised mark both starts since. Eased only 1 lb ahead of this return from 4 months off.
Northcliff (IRE)
Completed hat-trick in better company last spring. Lost his way after before taking advantage of much-reduced mark at Chepstow 3 weeks ago, landing a gamble in the process. Remains well treated on old form up 3 lb and has joined an in-form yard.
Havana Sky
Back on his last winning mark but record on turf not as strong.
Way To Dubai (IRE)
Keeping busy and went close at Lingfield in March. However, well held since and record away from that track is a poor one. Usual headgear left off.
Currahee (IRE)
Twice a winner last season, including on debut for this yard at Leicester after 4 months off, but struggled in open company on final start. Off 9 months.
Clasina
Belatedly off the mark (first run since leaving Katie Scott) in a 9-runner handicap at Yarmouth (7f) last summer and while she has a 9-month absence to overcome, a well-run 6f could suit.
Elvetham (IRE)
Won twice over 6f on the all-weather this spring and good placed efforts on turf last 3 starts. Ought to be thereabouts once more.
Mart
Again gave hope that he could soon capitalise on a falling mark at Yarmouth last time but that was in a class 6 and unlikely to be ending losing run in a competitive race like this.
Grand Citadel (IRE)
Well on top at the line when scoring at Leicester last month, her first success since winning the same race 12 months earlier. Not an obvious one to follow up back down to 6f.
Rainbow Sorbet (IRE)
Showed a bit on debut at Gowran (1m) in May 2025 and easily best effort for current yard when fourth of 9 on handicap bow at Brighton (5.3f) 3 weeks ago. Will benefit from return to 6f but would only be of interest if/when the market speaks in her favour.
