Timeform View

This looks a good Jersey. SABER STRIKE created a really good impression when winning a Newmarket listed race over this trip on his second start and gets the vote but there are plenty of dangers, headed by 1000 Guineas fourth The Prettiest Star for last year's winning stable. Avicenna is a lot better than he showed in the 2000 Guineas and is also shortlisted along with Into The Sky, who patently failed to stay 1m in the Guineas, and Catullus, so impressive in handicap company at Goodwood.

Timeform Comments

Dorset (IRE)
Won a Group 3 over this trip at Leopardstown last autumn but has come up short in another Group 3 at Leopardstown and the French 2000 Guineas this spring. Others are preferred.
Thesecretadversary (IRE)
Free-going sort who reappeared to win a Group 3 at Leopardstown (7f) by 2½ lengths from Power Blue. Respectable efforts in 2000 Guineas at Newmarket and Irish 2000 Guineas at the Curragh since and the drop back to 7f is likely to help.
Andab (IRE)
Listed winner at Dundalk on final 2-y-o start and has bettered that form in defeat this year, including 5½ lengths third of 8 to Talk of New York in listed race at Sandown (1m, good) 23 days ago, having to weave through. First-time visor replaces cheekpieces.
Ardisia (IRE)
Prolific juvenile, winning 5 times, including valuable Two-Year-Old Trophy at Redcar (listed). Showed he's trained on when fourth in the Group 3 Pavillion over 6f here last month but below that level when 3½ lengths third of 6 to Ellusive Butterfly in listed race at Epsom (7f, good to soft) latest.
Avicenna (IRE)
2-2 over 7f at Doncaster last year, latterly a listed event. Lost unbeaten record but shaped well (despite not handling Dip) when 2 lengths second in Craven at Newmarket (1m, good to firm) on return. Can have a line put through his subsequent run in the 2000 Guineas there. Remains open to progress.
Billecart (IRE)
All-weather novice winner on return in February but has seemingly had his limitations in a Newcastle listed race and the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket since. Has plenty to find on form.
Catullus (IRE)
Returned from breathing and gelding operations with a smart performance to blow apart a 17-runner Goodwood handicap (good to firm) 4 weeks ago. Definitely up to holding his own back in pattern company on that evidence.
Colori Forever
Took his record to 3-6 with a smart performance to see off 9 rivals in a handicap over C&D (good to firm) 6 weeks ago. Looks good enough to make an impact outside of handicaps.
Into The Sky (IRE)
Blitzed 12 rivals in 6.5f Newbury maiden (good to firm) on debut last summer and inexperience was the only thing which cost him victory in Group 2 Mill Reef back there (6f, soft) 23 days later. Failed to stay 1m in 2000 Guineas at Newmarket on return and remains a smart prospect back at shorter.
Morris Dancer (IRE)
Palace Pier colt who was edged out by Zavateri in Group 2 Vintage at Goodwood (7f, good) before taking his career record to 2-4 with a 1m Salisbury listed success in August. Absent since but he appeals as one likely to make a smart 3-y-o.
Neolithic (IRE)
Second success when comfortably taking a Gowran conditions race (7f, soft) in April. Creditable 2¼ lengths third of 7 to Causeway in listed race at the Curragh (1m, good) since. More will be needed with first-time blinkers replacing cheekpieces.
Saber Strike (IRE)
Night of Thunder colt who proved a class apart on his 6f Redcar debut last autumn and took the step up to listed level in his stride when seeing off 5 rivals at the Newmarket Guineas meeting (7f, good) on reappearance in May. Top prospect.
Take Charge Star (IRE)
Useful but has just a Gowran maiden success from his 6 starts and there's nothing in his record to suggest he can play a prominent role here.
America Queen (IRE)
Won a Haydock maiden by 12 lengths on debut last summer and has made the frame in 3 subsequent starts at pattern level, seeing 7f out well when neck second of 12 to Azleet in Nell Gwyn at Newmarket on return 66 days ago.
Domina Ignis (FR)
€300,000 breeze-up purchase who created a very favourable impression when slamming 8 rivals on 6f debut at Southwell last November. Hooded, shaped well when 2 lengths third in Fred Darling at Newbury (7f, good) 5 months later but disappointing in 1000 Guineas at Newmarket since. Hood left off now.
Green Sense (IRE)
Won Group 2 Prix Robert Papin at Chantilly (6f, good to soft) last summer. Respectable 4½ lengths sixth of 8 to Naomis in Group 2 Prix de Sandringham there (1m, good to firm) on reappearance 20 days ago. Has something to find on form in what looks a strong renewal.
The Prettiest Star
Followed a debut win with a second in the Group 2 Rockfel at Newmarket (7f, good to firm). Returned with an even better effort when 3½ lengths fourth of 19 to True Love in 1000 Guineas there (1m, good to firm) 48 days ago. Subsequently purchased by Wathnan Racing. Capable of winning at Group level.
