Timeform View

Preference is for COURT ALERT who sets the standard based on his runner-up finish in a sales race at Newmarket last year. With his reappearance run behind him (had a breathing operation since), he could be ready to get off the mark at the expense of Nevasca Cinza.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Nevasca Cinza traded at a low of 5.30 and Betfair SP of 5.78 when losing last time, a race in which it raced prominently.

Timeform Comments

Court Alert (IRE)
Fairly useful effort when second in 20-runner valuable sales contest at Newmarket (6f) last summer. Well held over 7f both starts since, returning from 6 months off in a Leicester novice in April, but he's worth another chance back in maiden company following a breathing operation.
Debrief
After 7 months off, showed a bit more than on debut when ninth of 15 in 7f novice at Newbury in May, unable to sustain effort. Remains capable of better, though needs another run for a handicap mark.
Landslide
Offered little making his first start, slowly away and always behind when tenth of 12 in novice at Leicester (7f) in April. Hood and cheekpieces quickly reached for.
Nevasca Cinza
Placed both starts for Lucinda Russell & Michael Scudamore last year and similar form when fourth of 13 in Leicester novice on seasonal/stable debut. Hasn't built on that in 2 outings since, but the removal of cheekpieces tried at Yarmouth 10 days ago might help and yard is going well.
Ridger (IRE)
Harry Angel colt. Half-brother to 3 winners, including smart 5f/6f winner (including at 2 yrs) Arizona Blaze and winner up to 1m Sailthisshipalone (2-y-o 7f winner). Dam 1¼m winner. Makes a belated debut but he's one to note.
Sugar Sugar (IRE)
With eyeshields fitted for debut, looked a difficult ride when ninth of 11 in maiden at Yarmouth (7f) 11 days ago, pulling hard and hanging left. Needs to leave that first run well behind.
