Timeform View

A really hot race of its type but PERSEUS WAY makes most appeal given his rich vein of current form. High Dancer looked the winner for a long way at Market Rasen last time and can pose a serious threat, while C&D winner Winds of Winter also merits serious respect having shaped well under an aggressive ride at Cartmel last time.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Perseus Way traded at a high of 3.05 and Betfair SP of 2.92 when winning last time, a race in which it raced towards the rear and travelled strongly early on.

Timeform Comments

Perseus Way (IRE)
Arrives here seeking a cross-code 4-timer, having won twice at 2½m here either side of a Flat victory at Hamilton. Most recent victory here last week was easy and though a 9 lb rise means he's now at his highest mark in over 2 years, it might not be enough to stop him scoring again.
High Dancer
Opened his account for James Ewart at Haydock in March 2025. Right back to his best in first-time cheekpieces when a head second in a 7-runner handicap hurdle at Market Rasen (21f, good) 24 days ago, trading 1.01 on running but collared on the line. Still looks ahead of his mark.
Haarar
Better than ever when following his Haydock success in December with an emphatic victory in 11-runner Carlisle handicap in February. Not really threatened since though, and whilst he wasn't disgraced on the Flat last time, he probably needs a career best to take such a competitive race.
Winds Of Winter (IRE)
Enjoyed a good summer in 2025, winning at C&D prior to also scoring at Cartmel. Shaped as if back in form having had plenty use made of her in front when fifth of 10 in handicap hurdle at Cartmel (17f, good) 29 days ago and it'd be no surprise if she could build on that here.
Well Educated (IRE)
Four-time course winner has found just one too good on his last 3 outings here, albeit no match for Perseus Way over 2½m here last week. Hard to see him turning the tables despite a swing at the weights.
