Timeform View

MISS KASSIOPI is bred to be suited by this sort of trip and is taken to make a winning start for new connections well known for their success with similar types. Course specialist Stylish Recruit rates the biggest danger and is the one most likely to capitalise should the selection fail to meet expectations, while Myfavouritesister should do better with her recent run under her belt.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Miss Kassiopi traded at a low of 2.50 and Betfair SP of 3.45 when losing last time, a race in which it led.

Timeform Comments

Jeteye (IRE)
Notched a second C&D win (both off the same mark) in game fashion in May but was unable to follow up off a 4 lb higher mark last time. Place claims if busy spring after lengthy absence doesn't catch up with him.
Nitty Gritty (IRE)
Produced his best effort of the season when runner-up at Kelso (21f) in May but was well below that level last time and now has questions to answer on his debut for a new yard, not least regarding his ability to see out this longer trip.
Miss Kassiopi
Responded well to a positive ride when opening account at Hereford (2½m) in April and wasn't discredited under a penalty when third of 12 at Ffos Las 6 days later. Below form last time but subsequently sold for £20,000 and makes plenty of appeal now upped in trip and making debut out for top yard.
Stylish Recruit (IRE)
Seems to save his best for this course, winning here in April and proving at least as good as ever when 2¾ lengths second of 6 to Abbey Scope 15 days ago. No logical reason why he won't again feature at the finish.
Jimli's Cave (IRE)
Winner over hurdles at this course in 2024/25 and twice placed over fences here early last season, though lost his way afterwards and there hasn't been much promise to be gleaned from either of his starts this season.
Belladinotte (IRE)
Won twice last season, including over C&D. Ran up to best when 3 lengths fourth of 8 to Larkfield Lusive at Southwell last time but others appeal as better handicapped.
Robert D'ores (FR)
Multiple course winner and regular but well below form last 2 starts, including after breathing operation latest.
Lady Phoebe (IRE)
A modest Flat winner who has so far failed to reproduce that level over hurdles, last seen finishing 5 lengths fourth of 9 behind Tyson at Newcastle. Steps up in trip.
Star Vantage (IRE)
Long-standing maiden ran well to finish fourth in a much stronger race at Musselburgh in March but has been well below that form in each of his last 2 starts.
Luminaries (IRE)
Had a cracking spell over hurdles last spring, winning 4 times between March and May. Didn't really take to chasing afterwards, though, and hasn't gone with much encouragement back over hurdles of late.
Twoplacesatonetime (IRE)
Left previous handicap efforts behind in first-time cheekpieces when scoring over C&D (good to soft) in November 2024. Fifth is the best he's managed in 7 subsequent starts, though, with his jumping letting him down on last 2 outings.
Myfavouritesister (IRE)
Reached the frame in course handicap hurdles (including this trip) last autumn and shaped better than the bare result 36 lengths seventh of 13 to Our Girl Sal at Perth on return, possibly still working her way back to full fitness.
Dartmhor
Limited maiden hurdler who races from 3 lb out of the handicap.
