Timeform View

A small field but there looks enough pace on paper for MIDDLETON VIEW, who was doing all his best work late when fourth over this trip at Yarmouth last time and may land the spoils. Tea Sea is another who'll benefit from a good gallop to aim at and he's next best in a trappy handicap.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

King Of War could be advantaged by a prominent position which looks likely in this field: Of the better-fancied horses, Middleton View is most likely to be ridden furthest from the pace.

Timeform Comments

The Bitter Moose (IRE)
Had plenty in his favour when winning a handicap at Epsom (7f) in August. Hasn't quite hit those heights in 3 starts without usual headgear this season, but a return to form could be in the offing with Neil Callan booked/visor back on.
Lunario (IRE)
Positively ridden when winning back-to-back handicaps at Chester/Sandown last summer. Seemingly completely out of sorts this season, however, does at least benefit from a significant drop in grade.
State Of Madness
Successful both visits to this course (6f) for previous yard, he was again below form when fifth of 16 in this grade at Newmarket on Friday but cannot be totally discounted returning to this track.
Tea Sea (FR)
Back to winning ways over C&D in August, he was too keen to see out his race here (1m) second time up this season, though looks worth another chance back over 7f in a race where a few should go forward.
Middleton View (IRE)
Off the mark in a first-time tongue strap on debut for this yard at Chelmsford in December, he posted his best effort since when fourth (behind a subsequent winner) in a fair handicap at Yarmouth (7f) last time and looks weighted to double his tally off 2 lb lower.
King Of War
Made all to record a third C&D win last October and having finished third under similar tactics over 1m here on return, he could make a bold bid back down in trip with a run under his belt.
