Timeform View

WEN MOON looks the most solid option on the back of a pair of creditable placed efforts. Handicap newcomer Polka and Albegone may pose the biggest threats in a trappy race.

Timeform Comments

Wen Moon (IRE)
Stepped up from his comeback when an encouraging third at Carlisle last month and confirmed his return to form when third of 8 in handicap at Ripon (5f, good to firm, 9/2) 19 days ago. Leading player again.
Storm Call (IRE)
Finally off the mark for this yard in first-time blinkers at Redcar in October and though she shaped as if she'd be fitter for the run when fifth of 6 in handicap (14/1) at Wolverhampton (5f) 90 days ago, she'll need to step forward from that to score.
Polka
Perhaps not the most straightforward (has pulled hard) but found plenty to edge ahead in a tight finish in a 4-runner maiden at Newcastle (5f) in February. Opening mark looks workable after 128 days off.
Tees Aggregates (IRE)
Not the most consistent but turned in just about his best effort of the season when third of 8 at Ripon (5f, good) in May and went a long way to backing that up when filling the same position in a 12-runner race at Hamilton (5f, good) 12 days ago. Place claims again.
Our Absent Friends (IRE)
Ended 2025 with 5f victory at Newcastle in December and continued to run well at Gosforth Park in defeat early this year. Clearly not 100% when last of 17 at Doncaster in March and shaped as if he'd come on for the run after a short break at Ripon just over 3 weeks ago. Tongue strap back on.
Woodhay Whisper (IRE)
Back to winning ways at Wolverhampton in February but largely below par since, faring no better on the back of a stable switch (left Jack Jones) at Thirsk last time.
Albegone
Four-time C&D winner is now on a 17-run losing streak but ran well when placed at both Musselburgh and Nottingham earlier this month. Shaped as if still in form in a deeper race at Thirsk last time and he can give a decent account in another change of headgear.
