Timeform View

A case can be made for plenty of these, but CAPE TORONADA is unexposed in the context of such a low-grade handicap and may follow up her Brighton success, while Lahina Bay and Giant could both be worth another chance down in grade.

Just King High traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP twice on its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Giant
Well held but shaped better than the beaten distance suggests in a similar grade at Lingfield (7f, good to soft), when he only had one ahead of him in the betting and could be worth another chance at this level.
Lahina Bay (IRE)
Winner here last summer before landing a Bath/Lingfield double later in the season. She can have a line put through latest start at Lingfield and is one to consider now below her latest winning mark.
Alashos (FR)
Snapped a lengthy losing run/gained a first handicap success on the all-weather at Lingfield before running at least as well in defeat when fourth in a slightly higher grade here last time.
Nordic Glory (IRE)
Quirky sort who resumed winning ways on return at Bath prior to not being seen to best effect at Beverley subsequently, and has a good record at this track (including a 5f win).
Blindfold Games (IRE)
Maiden who ran her best race on turf when fifth of 14 in a handicap at Yarmouth (7f). She'll probably need to improve for first-time cheekpieces, though, with an inexperienced apprentice taking over.
Cape Toronada (FR)
Low-mileage 3-y-o who finished runner-up over C&D before finding some improvement to get off the mark at Brighton, and she may well win again now up and running.
Beelzebub (IRE)
Below form on final all-weather start for David Loughnane in mid-April, but he's fallen even further in weights ahead of his first run for a very capable new yard (also saddle Cape Toronada) and warrants a market check.
Mademoiselle Belle (IRE)
Often a slow starter but responded well to cheekpieces when opening account at Newcastle (5f) in February. Below that form on final start for Brian Ellison but is only 1 lb above her winning mark on stable debut.
Just King High (IRE)
Best effort since joining current yard when fourth of 7 at Southwell (7f) last time and now tried in another change of headgear (visor replaces cheekpieces) in his bid to win a first handicap.
Giles Glory (IRE)
Having finished below form both starts for current yard, he's back on his previous winning mark (7f all-weather handicap). Quirky sort far from certain to capitalise, though.
Gal (IRE)
Lightly-raced filly ran her best race when third on handicap/stable debut at Bath, rallying well having looked rusty after 7 months off, and has claims if building on that under an inexperienced claimer.
